    • RE: Show fronts on isobar map

@midtoad I’d like to see this too, but saw this discussed here some time ago and, if I recall correctly, the response was that that would require hiring a meteorologist to plot the fronts. Sounded kind of crazy, but there we are. Lacking fronts is a serious shortcoming especially in such a comprehensive weather app.

    • Two annoying UI actions
      1. Map always zooms out from user-set level.

      2. Play button for weather maps is hidden under forecast panel, requiring it to be closed and then re-opened.

Both of these make the user have to do unnecessary, repetitive and annoying stuff. Why not allow zoom level to be sticky? Why not make the play button move to a place where it is not hidden?

      Ondřej

      Hi again, Ondřej —

I just tried something else. I turned on hardware acceleration in Chrome and now Windy radar is appearing. I never knew such a setting existed, let alone turned it off, but this seems to have fixed the issue.

      Thank you for your help.

      @Ondřej-Šutera

      Hi, Ondřej —

I'm not sure I quite understand the question. But the problem is still there. I'm using Chrome on the Mac desktop OS. No other web sites are doing this, just Windy. Radar works as usual on iOS devices.

      Thank you.

    • Radar display stopped working, Windy blames it on WebGL problem

This is the first time in my years of using Windy that this has happened. Chrome on MacOS 12.6. This just began today. No radar and Windy attributes this to a WebGL problem of some sort.

There is no setting in Chrome for WebGL. Both Chrome and OS are up to date. Apart form that I have no idea what to do. Any guidance?Screen Shot 2023-01-12 at 10.08.40 AM.png

    • Map zooms out when selecting weather display

An annoying feature is that any time one selects a location from favorites or by dropping a pin on the map, the map zooms out all the way. Is there any way to stop this behavior?

    • Is it possible to display weather radar and wind animation together?

Forgive me if this is answered elsewhere - I couldn’t find it. Is it possible to display both wind animation and weather radar at the same time? Thanks!
