    • Send Davis data to Windy simply

There's a simple way to post data from your Davis weather station to Windy, and make it available for to the US National Weather Service (NWS/NOAA) and universities at the same time - no programing required.

WeatherLink.com supports uploading data to CWOP, the Citizens Weather Observing Program (http://www.wxqa.com/). CWOP data is automatically posted to Windy as a local weather station.

CWOP is a service developed by amateur radio enthusiasts in the US. Data sent to CWOP servers is forwarded to the NOAA MADIS service where it is filtered and evaluated for quality. MADIS then forwards the data in near real-time to NWS, state and local agencies, and universities.

      To upload data from WeatherLink.com

      1. Determine the latitude and longitude of your station in decimal degrees.

      2. Go to https://madis.ncep.noaa.gov/cwop_signup.shtml and signup for a CWOP account.

      3. Sign-in to Weatherlink.com and click the "Share & Uploads" link near the top right.

      4. Click the "Upload" tab and "Add upload". Enter your CWOP account info and save.

Eventually your station should appear under the "Nearby weather stations" link in Windy.
