actually when you type into google "google maps projection" it always says, that they are using mercator or some hybrid based on mercator, until you "going into space". Good looks does not mean automatically that it is handy. I worked before for a map printing company and other world projections that are on paper or screen oval, bringing in the problem of filling "holes" in the corner. So if you are solving this problem that exists since maps/projections are existing you are going to be a rich man.

BTW (state of google on the 15.09.2019):
google maps (desktop) starts you usually in mercator and switches then to "globe" mode if you zoom out. I guess they "cheat" with mercator because the want to save bandwith & computing power. This is why monstrosities like google earth (and pro) existed, this programs/apps are for pro users.
google maps (mobile)still ueses some kind of mercator projection.

in fact, every map projection is incorrect. That comes with the projection & interpolation of things. The closest thing that shows earth very similar how it is, is a globe.
The map used in windy is great for navigation.

Hello, it is a bug. The workaround atm is:
1.search for your wanted location
2.right click on wanted position and choose "show weather picker"

3. save the location by clicking on the heart in the top left corner.

opt.
4.rename your fav.

thank you for your workaround! I can confirm the same problem. It seems like that we are saving our favorites just to the "search engine" but not favs.

so I tried now chrome . no change of the situation. I put up new favs and logged off and on. Waited over night and logged on. the Screenshot shows that the new favourite "T2" is not in the favourite list.
You can search for the default names and find them:

It is chrome. maybe the cache list is corrupted? If there is something like that. I do not know how this is exactly working with the windy portal - just have seen a few times the "hand shake" when I log off.
Could it be because I use this account on different devices? Smart phone & PCs?

is there a limit for favorites? We have troubles to save and edit favorites afterwards, because they are not shown in the menu list.

I have a question about commercial use. Is an internal use of windy in a company allowed (a 100-200 querys of data/day-just location points )? No presentation to the outside world or rerouting of data oruseage of the api v4. Maybe I missed something in the FAQ?
