It would be very useful to have a reported rainfall layer. This would display live data of rainfall as storms progressed across the landscape. Just a reported temperature shows this, having the ability to see level of approaching rainfall and would allow for real time decision making with regard to crops and livestock. Currently such judgments can only be assumed from the intensity of radar images which is very indirect way of measuring actual rainfall levels.
