      @Suty I forgot to mention that I do not use the mobile to go online but my image on my laptop appeared to be a mobile version because it said " download app" all the time. It is now gone.

      @Suty Hi there,
      I went into Windy just now to check the temperatures here and it seems to be back to normal. I do not know how to send a screenshot from the laptop but if you want to see it I will attempt to go online to find out how to screenshot on a laptop. Thank you for your response.

      Even the "download app" is gone which traditionally was at the top with the Windy logo.

    • I am not using a mobile phone

      Hello there,
      I use a laptop for visual reasons. I do not use my mobile phone to go on the web.

      The Windy app thinks I am on a mobile device and with this new update, all of what I call "the dashboards" are covering a very large portion of my screen, including the words "Download App" which is now just at my viewing area. With such a large viewing area being blocked by these features, I am not able to see much where I am located and it's surrounding area. When the top dashboard disappears, which I have set at 3 seconds, it comes right back on when I click the screen to zoom out or look at another location. When I click the X to close it, it does not matter, it still comes back on regardless, blocking a large portion of the screen.

      Windy seems to strive to be the best out there, but it seems to focus on cell phone users. Any ideas other than shrinking my screen would be helpful. I have the resolution set at 100% which is normal. I usually have to use the size around 120% and higher for my vision problems depending on what I am looking at such as YouTube or my search engine.

      Thanks,
      Trae

    • RE: Windy is not working.

      FIXED!!! It was an add-on that updated and was no longer compatible that was causing the trouble. The add-on called VenMate Free VPN was the culprit. My friend found it by disabling one add-on at a time until Windy worked right. She said that the reason it says "Download App" is because it is Windows 10 and not because it thinks the size of the screen makes it think it's a mobile device.
      Thank you for everyone who was trying to help me.

      @Ondřej-Šutera It works on other browsers, just not Firefox. So it shouldn't be my laptop. But my display resolution is on the recommended 1360x768. I haven't changed any settings and it's always worked until a few days ago. I also haven't changed anything in Windy. It has always shown more of the Windy header than the radar map. This is what satellite looks like.

      @Ondřej-Šutera I found somebody who knows how to screenshot. I am sending you pictures of what I see. It seems to work fine in Microsoft Edge browser. I am in Enid, Oklahoma, United States. Windy 3.png Windy 2.png Windy 1.png

    • Windy is not working.

      I am not too computer literate so I can't send you a screenshot but my radar and satellite doesn't work. In fact, nothing works. I turned off all blockers and it didn't work. I also am not sure how to send an error report. I am using Windows 10. The screen shows large blocks of different colors when zoomed out all the way. Appx 6 blocks. The blocks have lines going straight up and down. I cannot use the app on my phone because I have poor vision. Too small. I am wondering if it's because I have to use the free version because I no longer have my hometown as my home screen anymore because it is no longer free. Please let me know because it is tornado season and I quit MyRadar to use Windy to know what the weatherman does not say such as the darker colors meaning hail for example. I wish I knew how to screenshot but am starting to think it's because I can't afford to pay which is okay but no amount of begging will get a single extra dollar in my pocket to pay for what has been a really needed and useful app. I forgot to add I am a Firefox user. I'm probably not even reporting this in the correct place. This forum won't allow me to post where I thought I was supposed to.

    • RE: Windy joined forces with CzechGlobe to forecast global drought

      This has been much needed on Windy and I personally applaud all of you. It was once possible to read the weather and seasons but things have shifted, making knowing when to plant, when to water or not and what to plant, practically impossible to figure out. We still rely on our own source of vegetables, nuts, and fruits for survival but when should we assist our lone peach tree with water is something we have been trying to figure out. This will help. Also, seeing relationships between everything on Windy, including windmill noise, enables us to create some pretty strong theories for ourselves about what is creating what appears to be weather gone mad. Thank you!
