What an epic fail today from ECMWF regarding clouds in Bavaria.
Low clouds and ceiling were miles (literally!) off reality.
Instead of a high ceiling for most of the day in most of Bavaria, there was a thick layer from Passau to Munich, visibility below pretty bad and virtually impossibly to fly below or get through.
GFS / ICON showed a more realistiv Low Cloud layer, but don't have ceiling/tops or visibility info.
Is there a good reason for this ?
(and yes, it affected a flight, quite a bit...)
