RE: Windy version 14 brings sharper map and better colors
You really are doing nice job. Very special thanks for the precipitation type.
The most I like, that everyone can adjust and create their own color pallets.
I wonder would it someday be possible to adjust own isobar settings. As a meteorologist I'm not use to 2 mb settings and would have 5 mb interval in bigger maps and 1 mb interval in more detailed maps. I also don't see any sense for colored isobars. Because it possible to use colored field for pressure and in practice there can be local low pressure in 1020 hPa and ridge of high in 990 etc. But of course I understand that all the people have their own preference. That's why I'm suggesting adjustability.
It would be also awesome to have possibility to use own color scheme in embedded versions. You advise me to use API version, but I don't know hove to do it :)
I use now Windy in my own site, but noticed that animations don't show the forecast time in android mobile. In pc and tablet time label works perfect. Would this be also fixed by using API instead?
Bug in Finnish translation
Ther is an error in Finnish translations of cloud levels
"High clouds" should be "Yläpilvet" ("pilvinen" means "cloydy")
"Middle clouds" should be "Keskipilvet" ("puolipilvinen" means "partly cloudy")
"Low clouds" should be "Alapilvet" ("selkeä" means "clear")
RE: New pressure isolines: Testers wanted!
Thanks so much for this improvment! Windy is now my absolute favorite weather site (app). I must say that Windy works amazingly fast for that mount of data and extra thanks for that!!
I know that every extra features will sacrifice the operating speed, but if it doesn't take too much, it would be nice to had possible to adjust color and level of isobars. Actually it would be enough to have isobars with 1hpa by gray colors and every 5 hPa by black or something similar.
In a professional sense, it would be fantastic to have possibility to combine different datalayers together. Three different layer would be already enough, but there should be also possibility to choose order of each layer. And it would be good to have chanse to mix together data from different altitude. I guess this will sacrafise too much the appspeed?
