I checked it just now. It still starts up three zoom levels out from where I last used it, and the pin is some 6 or 7 miles from where I always put it. (Using Google Earth to measure the distance.)

FWIW I'm using the Windy website on Chrome (which I keep updated to the latest version) on my iMac running MaxOS 14.6.1.

And FWIW, I always use the NAM model, but it always defaults to the ECMWF model every time I launch it. The NAM model gives the best resolution, which I need because I paddle outrigger canoes in Ma'alaea Bay in South Maui, and the longer-resolution models don't account for the mountains as well as the shorter resolution.

As always, these are very minor issues.

Thanks. I checked. And it is set to Use Last Location. It sort of does this, but is always in the same spot about 6 or 7 miles away from the actual spot I use. It does remember my start-up layer correctly as Wind, but it does not remember my zoom level. It used to always remember the zoom level. -- Again, this is not a big deal, but is a minor nuisance.

I use Windy Premium in Chrome on my desktop iMac to see the wind forecast for the very specific area where I paddle outrigger canoe. I always set the pin on exactly the same spot as near as I can manage, and the zoom level where I can see a specific wide area around it.

Every time I open Windy it puts the pin at a spot about 7 to 10 miles away from where I had it, always the same spot.

In addition to this, Windy used to remember my zoom level, but a short while ago it quit remembering my preferred zoom level and always sets it much farther out.

None of this is a really big deal and I shouldn't really complain, but it's a small nuisance, and I'm wondering if there's a way to tell Windy to remember my exact last location and zoom level. I've tried setting a "Favorite" but that doesn't help.

Or maybe a future revision of the software could remember the exact parameters of the last used position and zoom level? I presume these are stored in a cookie on my computer, so it should be possible?

Thanks! On the desktop version it's not in the bottom left, it's in the options on the bottom right, but thanks to your suggestion ("circled i") I found it. So thanks again!

Is there any way to see when the most recent update was? I am using Windy Premium in Chrome on MacOS and I cannot find how recent the forecast I'm seeing is. Thanks.
