@Ondřej-Šutera On google maps the zoom can be controlled by double tapping, on the second tap you hold the screen then swipe up to zoom out or swipe down to zoom in, and if you release mid swipe it will continue zooming as if it had momentum.

To add onto this, it seems like (at least for me), you can scrub through different times in the model. However the problem is, on the desktop app there is no time indicator when you are full screen. The only way to tell that you are changing the time is paying attention to the URL which updates every time you use the arrow keys to go forward/backward.
