@idefix37 The computer happens to be in Georgia on a local provider network, but the computer is also set to UTC. Since I don't usually look too far, I don't know if looking at Washington, D.C. will show a different local time than looking at Washington state.

That said, I noticed time inaccuracies in Google Voice in my browser, too, although Google Calendar appeared unaffected. This seems (searched "why does chrome have wrong time zone" for future victims) to be a not-uncommon Chrome browser problem, and resetting my time zone in Windows Settings appears to have taken care of the problem (although now everything is in UTC and I see no EDT, but I can live with that). Looks like Windy was an innocent bystander :-)

Why does Windy (Web, Chrome, Win11 set to UTC, local US/Eastern DT) think my local time is seven (not four) hours off of Zulu? I'm looking at [north] Georgia at the moment and I see nothing in my settings that suggests a different time zone.

Are there any plans to get away from thumbnails?

The "settings saved to cloud" STILL loses various settings regularly.
This has been reported before. It's still happening.

I can't process the thumbnails nearly as easily or well as I can text. Call me broken if you want, but Windy is now very broken for me :-(

I have a premium account and am logged in automagically when I surf over to the web site. [I feel like I have lost settings on my Android app, but I can't confirm details, so let's leave that out for the moment.] I routinely have to reset

• what widgets (Wind, Cloud Base, ...) I see or don't see
• expert mode to turn off "grouping"
• pressure isolines
• lat/lon grid

after finding them changed.

Most interesting is that, at the moment, my Linux Chromium browser under two different profiles logging in as the same windy account shows the wrong options while my Windows Chrome browser shows [almost entirely] the right options ... and yet both say that my settings "are saved to the cloud". [My Android app has the stupid new UX (https://community.windy.com/topic/28263/new-windy-interface) and looks horrible anyway, so I'm also not bothering with that for this case.] I tried logging out and in on Linux after confirming Windows and didn't get the proper display. I'm hesitant to log out under Windows, figuring that I'll just have to redo everything at that point.

I can leave this as-is for a day or two for troubleshooting if that's helpful. I've seen a few other "my settings don't work" posts but no answers. I'm going to try to be a much better client and provide useful info :-) to dig into this if anyone can help.

While I love Windy, I hate the new thumbnails/pictures listing of layers (currently Android mobile.html 39.3.2 but it showed up earlier this summer); it takes me noticeably longer to find what I want to show. Is there a way to go back to the text style (Android mobile.html 38.1.5 on my other phone -- that I have not allowed to upgrade!)?

Same here! I suspect it has to do with the UI change from 38.x.y to 39.x.y and the whole QuickPin thing :-/

I desperately hope there's a "go back to the old interface" option I haven't found yet. For now, I'm telling my other phone it isn't allowed to upgrade

Thank you all again for the route planner! It's incredibly useful.

The only thing that keeps tripping me up is that our flights are usually a circle. I can click on point A for departure and then points B and C along the way but can't then click on A again to finish the flight. I tried entering points in the search box, but that appears to support only two.

Is there a way to plan a route (flight) that starts and ends at the same point?
