I have cancelled my subscription to Windy because of this lack of support for Carvel weather radar. Without this support, Windy is nearly useless to me and many others in the Edmonton metro area (including much of northern Alberta, a population of about 2 million people).

@korina you will get this data from the same place you get all the other government of Canada weather radar data. They are all operated by the Canadian federal government. You show many other Canadian weather radar sites already. You used to have coverage from Carvel. You removed it. Now you claim it is in the works, but it has been missing for six months. The claim you don’t have a source for the data just shows you haven’t even tried to fix this problem!

Hi Petra,
I have also cancelled my subscription to Windy because of your lack of support for weather radar from Carvel. You used to have support for Carvel data, and you have had plenty of time to correct this issue, but you have done nothing. Without this weather radar it is nearly useless to me.

@korina I replied once to you and once to Petra. Two different people at Windy hoping to bring more attention to this gaping hole in your coverage.

@korina I’m sorry. I couldn’t find my other post so I thought it may have been lost ( I sometimes type a message and then forget to click send ). Thanks for looking into adding the new Carvel radar data to your app. It’s a glaring omission for me and at least a few others. I hope you get to it soon.

Your app is not showing the weather radar data for the Carvel radar station located just outside Edmonton in Alberta Canada. This station was down for service last fall but has been returned to service after some upgrades. Please add it to Windy’s list of sources. It is the primary radar for about 2 million people.

Your app is missing radar data from the Carvel radar station near Edmonton Alberta Canada. This station was shutdown for upgrades for several months but it is now back online. It is the primary radar for a metro area of more than one million people. Please add it back to your app’s sources. Thanks.
