    • RE: Missing Wind Intensity Consistent With Legend Colors

I do not know if this approach to image sharing will work. The first image is the finest I can zoom and still get wind velocity. The next is one click on the "+" button and with that zoom I lose wind velocity. I was recently trying to p;ick an anchorage among the varioius locations/islands in Boston area with expectation of incoming wx. I wanted more detail than the finest wind velocity grid was providing. I managed to pick an appropriate anchorage and there has to be a more effective approach. I wasn't aware of being able to ue muliple assessment points simultaneouslyl

@idefix37 Again I thank you. This image of the point grid is excellent and new to me. Being able to create such an assessment tool would fulfill my needs. Is there a tutorial to which you could direct me or can you provide me with the method to create such a grid and related table? For several years I've used Predict Wind and found it valuable for long offshore runs. Now that the offshore runs or shorter with more time hopping around the coast I'm attempting to use Windy and have stepped up to Premium level.

    • RE: Missing Wind Intensity Consistent With Legend Colors

@idefix37 - Thank you for the explanation. My confusion is that I'm displaying an area that is over 80km across. I'm reviewing wx models with resolution of single digits - 3 - 9km. - and the wind velocity resolution goes away. So what is the value of a 3 - 5 - 9km model resolution if when the location is zoomed in to 20 - 80km you can't see the results of the model in that area? Seems inconsistent to me. I'm not seeking wind velocity forecast
on a street by street basis. I am seeking it on a range of islands that may be spread out over 30 - 50km. If I zoom out to avoid the detail display the area of interest is a small piece of the overall display and relevant info is seemingly lost. This may well be a reflection of my lack of understanding. I'm very interested in learning. Thank you again.

      About this version
      Target: index.html
      Version: 39.1.4 (What's new)
      Built: 2023-07-13, 13:05
      Started: 2023-07-29T21:13:21.529Z (0m)
      Your browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/115.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 Edg/115.0.1901.183
      WebGL particles: not

When I zoom in on an area to the point where the display is of greater detail including streets and similar landmarks the wind time line fails to show wind intensity utilizing the wind velocity colors as displayed on the legend. Wind diretion is displayed in some unknown sense with the arrow size and density meaning not known.
