I prefer working with ECMWF when working in Europe.
In the menu for forecast preferences, I switched multiple times to ECMWF, but every time I open a new location, it opens again with MeteoBlu AI.
This is very confusing (and frustrating). Opening the ECMWF forecast, but when I click on a location for a sounding, it switches back to Meteoblue. When I click on a different location ... again Meteoblu ...

I hope they find a solution soon.
At this point, I still have to select my preferred model everytime I open the website (or application).
And when I open a sounding, it still automatically switches to Meteoblue.
This is quite confusing when you are making a forecast for different locations and it requires special attention that you are working within the same model everytime you switch features.
Now for the record: I don't have a particular beef with Meteoblu, but I do have a preference of working with ECMWF. Old habbits die hard. ;-)

Do the developers do a follow-up on all topics in the chats? Or do they have to be allerted by the moderators?
Or do I have to fill in a form somewhere on the site or app?
For information: when using the App on my phone, the ECMWF data is used for the location forecast. So in the app my settings are saved.
But ... when I open a sounding in the app, even though my forecast model on my screen is ECMWF, the app wants to use Meteoblue for the sounding and I get a message that ECMWF is used because Meteoblu is not supported.
@idefix37 Yes, I did, but unfortunately, the presented solution doesn't work.
When I go to the settings for the location forecast, I can indeed switch it to ECMWF and when using windy in the same window, it does use ECMWF as primary model. BUT ... when I want to use a sounding, it automatically switches back to MeteoBlue AI. It would be more logical that if one chooses to use one particular model, Windy would keep using this model troughout all forecasting products until one chooses to use another model.
And there is a second 'but': when I close my window and reopen Windy in another window, it switches back to Meteoblue AI, even though my settings are set to ECMWF in the location forecast preferences.
@banatmfees I have exactly the same issue and this is very frustrating!
I truly hope this is a bug and they can do something about it.
