I, and I'm sure others, would be happy to pay a monthly subscription if it gave access to historic data.

Can I suggest including the swell period in the Waves alert?

The parameters to set for an upcoming swell should be swell size, swell direction & swell period. Swell size and period and similarly important when trying to discern how a swell will impact a coastline.

For example, a 2m swell @ 7sec hitting the surfcoast of Victoria, Australia will be junk, whereas a 2m swell at 16sec will be great. And if we look at the goldcoast a 2m @ 7sec swell will be excellent.

The period is important and should be included to filter out the wheat from the chaff.

So what is the grid resolution? Windy still says GFS @ 22km but isn’t FV3 @ 13km?

Now that there is a premium service has there been any consideration or are there any future plans to provide historical data?

+1 on archive data, I probably use it more than forecast data.
