I went searching to see if someone else had reported this and didn't find anything. Then I post the bug and find that someone already had. Thanks for the workaround!

Cannot change/update boat speed in distance planner
Hi there. I don't seem to be able to change boat speed when using the distance planner. This was working fine up until recently. Now when I move the mouse over the Speed: field (on a web browser), I get a circle with a line through it. It also seems to think the speed is zero or infinity, because before I could see how long the trip would take, now I just see an orange marker for my departure time, and the display shows wind conditions at the start time, rather than showing me the evolving wind conditions en route. I'm hoping to use the tool to do some route planning next week, and as it stands, I'm out of luck. I can't tell what the wind will be like at various waypoints, nor can I automatically tell how long the trip will take. I can get along without the second issue because I can just calculate it, but not knowing wind conditions en route is a problem. This is on Chrome on a Macbook and on a Linux (Ubuntu) desktop.

RE: Showing daylight/night time on distance and planning
Sorry, I didn't make that clear. I meant to save it in my profile so that I would see the default as "boat" and "5 knots". Others would see whatever they normally selected. "Boat" and "12 knots"? Or IFR at "350".

Showing daylight/night time on distance and planning
Hi there. I don't know if this has been mentioned or suggested before, but it would be great if you could modify the distance and planning display to show civil twilight/sunrise/sunset? I use this a lot for route planning and looking to see how the wind and waves will look over the course of a sailing trip. Most of these are longer trips, often across two or three days. It would be great to see what parts of the trip will be at night and what parts will be during the day. A simpler change might be to alter the icon for sunshine and show the phase of the moon instead.
As a minor tweak, it would be great if it always defaulted to "boat" and a speed of 5 knots, as by default it always shows "elevation". That's a minor comment though as it's not hard to select "boat" and then input my cruising speed. Thanks a million for a great site.
