I am also having this issue.

The aesthetics of the map is a key component to why I like watching the weather map and leave it on my screen through events.
It is an eye sore with the large box that stays along the bottom of the mapping area now not really serving a purpose.
Those options that now stay permanently in that lower box worked fine when accessed from the right menu.

I have made comments already pertaining to the speed function, which I really hope will return.
This morning, after our last two day weather event locally. I wanted to watch the last 24 hr cycle roll through.

It was my first time watching the complete 24hr cycle since the speed option was taken away from us.

• 24hr section: Viewing with the new one speed setting, it was cycling fast enough for me to not see it develop without stopping and starting.
• 6hr: then it goes to another speed which was not really viewable.
• 1hr: hyperspeed achieved!!

@Suty... Is the brains trust considering still?? As a longish term paying customer of several years now, who has voiced their displeasure at your recent update/downgrade of a fundamental function. Are we now just to accept that we will no longer have the speed option that, by the general reaction and response, is missed and wanted back.
We also seem to have inherited that exceptionally unappealing block at the bottom of the map.
It really is an eyesore. May I ask what purpose does it serve my friend? I fail to see what we have gained with it.

My laptop is seeing this also, but my Samsung mobile is as it was before without the red future line.
