After analysis during several months and flying areas, I must say that unfortunately the Thermal layer is almost useless in Argentina. Overly optimistic, usually by many hundreds of meters in all 3 models available

RE: Subscription payment page in arabic letters
@korina Hi Korina, every time I close the browser, and then open again Windy, when going to Premium subscription, it appears again in Arabic.
It seem it does not retain the choice,Another question
What is the difference between the one year payment and the annualk subscription ?
Does it mean you cannot cancel the annual subsciption if you eventually want to? -
RE: Subscription payment page in arabic letters
A friend helped me out.
Apparently, arabic language was set (I do not know how), and by selecting your country you do not change language.
There is a link to change language (but it was in arabic), and someone pointed me thereMight help someone

RE: windy-plugin-skewt – new features :)
Hi @johnckealy
I found what I think can be a bug.
When I change models, the sounding displayed changes differently depending from which previous model I am changing to.In my region I have ECMWF - GFS and ICON, in that order from left to right
When I go from any of the first two to ICON, it seems to repeat on of the previous two soundings
When I go from ICON to any of the previous two, it shows a different sounding (the same if I go from ICON to GFS or from ICON to ECMWF)In total there are three soundings, but it is not clear which one corresponds to which model because of this glitches
I atach two screenshots

Nice plugin !
It seems you have something wrong when calculating altitude related to pressure

RE: Sounding Plugin - for paraglider pilots
I tend to agree with @matikru that the green dry adiabat seems too optimistic.
Not only in stable days, but also in well mixed days.
Although the core might start at the ground a few degrees hotter than the surrounding air; by the time it reaches the top of the CBL, there is no difference in temperature for the thermal as a whole, and it is humidity that keeps "pushing" upwards. Now we are on the off season in the southern hemisphere, but will compare to reality in the flying season.
Of course I am aware we are talking forecasts, and there is always uncertainty and error, but I think the green line adds to that error on the optimistic side.

RE: Windy.com introduces soaring forecast
Hi,Korina,
Excellent addition.
I post an image and some analysis to check and compare
If I understand correctly, the clouds to the upper left, indicate dense cumulus clouds in the area
Then all the area surrounding it, indicates overcast conditions (striped ) as well as upper right corner
All the grey area is no thermals (water)
And the area in the center with varying degrees of white-yellowish colour, indicates thermals with no cumulus, with 800 mts top of thermal in the selected point
However when I look at the Sounding, my interpretation of the sounding is of a somewhat dense stratocumulus clouds layer, with lower cloud base that those 800 mts (by the way, I moved the ticker just in the same spot of the sounding after loading the image and it still shows 800 mts)
Would like to see if there are differences in the way we interpret the soundings, or just something that can be improved in the Thermals Layer
I could not upload a higher resolution picture, but I keep it in case you need it and can be sent via mail or other -
Subscription payment page in arabic letters
Whenever I click to get a subscription, I get what you see in the picture attached.
I am in Argentina.

@ivo you always had the "hand" to move the map when you clicked and stayed pressing the mouse button while moving.

RE: Mouse "hand" dissapears after clicking in a Sounding
Hi,
I have the recorded video, but when I try to upload it (via the upload an image icon cause there is no upload video icon) a message in spanish with red letters (that does not look as from Windows but as from the Windy community page) says (translate):
"ERROR
You do not have enough privileges to perform such action" -
RE: Mouse "hand" dissapears after clicking in a Sounding
I tried with 2 different computers and it was present in both (one with Windows 7 and the other Windows 10)
Any technical info I should provide about the computers or Chrome ? -
Mouse "hand" dissapears after clicking in a Sounding
When you click in a sounding to get values of T, Td, and wind for a certain altitude/pressure, the "hand" feature of the mouse that allows moving the map gets disabled, and you only get a pointing cursor.
You have to reload the page to enable it again.Google Chrome Versión 87.0.4280.88 (Build oficial) (64 bits)

RE: Windy offers Sounding Forecast
Excellent tool !!
Now I can see in a glance what I needed 9 clicks before by changing pressure levelsI suspect the sounding is simplified between the few pressure levels that are available ... ( ... 900 mB - 850 mB - 800 mB - 700 mB ...)
Is there no info available for intermediate pressure levels?
It would be nice to have inversions more clearly depicted if the info is available !!
