    • PWS data stopped working 2 days ago

Since last Monday, I can't get the "Reported Weather" from PWS to work. When I click on a station, the normal meteogram display hangs and the map display shows the last data on Monday. It's the same all over the globe, not just my own station. I'm using Chrome.

I don't understand why you are not seeing the issue. All stations across the globe have not updated since 1 July and are still showing the conditions at that time. See my uploaded image showing a forecast NE windflow across Tasmania, but all the stations show the conditions as of last Monday 12 July. Windy Reported Wind not updating since 1 July.jpg . The same problem occurs in Microsoft Edge and Chrome browsers.

      Cheers

      Hi

I'm a recreational pilot and the Windy app is by far the best online tool for assessing aviation weather conditions. Just brilliant!
The distance planning tool for VFR is great but I have a few suggestions to improve its usabilty:

      1. allow input of the flight routes (3D) from a kml, gpx or csv file, and make these routes available to use again at a later time
      2. show the flight path on the vertical profile (above the terrain profile)
      3. allow printing of the vertical profile to pdf so that these can be viewed on an iPad by the pilot during the flight

      Regards
      Gary

@TomSlavkovsky The latest PWS data now loads correctly in the meteogram but the map display is not updating and still shows the data from July 1.

    • Airgram improvements

For private pilots, Windy provides a valuable tool for flight planning.

A few suggestions that Windy might consider to improve the Airgram profile:

      • provide altitude in '000 feet

      • option to top out vertical scale at 10,000ft (for private pilots)

      • option for local time rather than UTC

      • option to enlarge the Airgram to be make it more readable and downloadable

Thank you for creating such a superb application!

Excellent work! Any plans to allow a continuous, slow spin of the globe?

    • Sun and moon position plugin (for photography)

The sun and moon azimuths are shown correct on the map but the numerical display at bottom left appears to have azimuths 180deg out. Also 360deg azimuths are not shown (shows -ve azimuths). A better term for the sun's vertical angle might be "Inclination" rather than "Altitude".

@Bruno-Serra You are correct. This bug has occurred since July 1... If pilots are using only Windy, it could be a safety hazard.
