RE: Temperature Color Alarmism?
@Frank748
Edited for clarity.
To round up my objection: Gist of it was essentially the appeal to keep politics out of science-based industry - and what else but politics could be the concerned, IPCC-parrotingconform virtue-signalling adjustment? -
RE: Temperature Color Alarmism?
@idefix37
What was wrong with the traditional coloring meteorologists all over the world used worldwide until recently? The difference is s u b s t a n t i a l - that's why I ask the obvious question. -
RE: Temperature Color Alarmism?
@idefix37
My question was about your reasoning to shift the default color range so strongly towards deep red?
The expextation all users might correct that one seems a bit far fetched to me. Btw. is a sentence in capital letters not what I understand as netquette. -
RE: Temperature Color Alarmism?
@uktim32
I was all about the distinctive s h i f t in color, not the spread gradient. Look, here's the virtue-signalling "Neusprech" Eurochart beneath a traditionally colored Swiss weather map:

Not sure if I'm allowed to upload pictures of the old/vs. new german wearherwoman...

Temperature Color Alarmism?
Ground level Temp display
A while ago the established color range has been aligned to the agenda-soaked mass media weather charts:
30° C comes along now in hazard-red instead of the intuitively appropriate yellowish.
On top on that (large scale chart): Vast continental stretches are temp-wise mis-represented by the numbers of the most-outstanding heat-islands there are - which, as we all know, overshoot the air mass average by a couple of degrees bc most weather stations are simply located at the hottest urban areas and our sick city architecture can easily maintain its sacrosanct coverstory: The one and only, uncanny, mysterious trace gas.*
Sci-based services should at all costs adhere to absolutely politics-free, field based physics!- I'm worried Windy has been marked as suitable multiplier for the climate part of the Davos agenda and already receives NGO- and Gov. sponsoring in that regard.
Is there an audit availlable?
Thank you for listening.
Yours!
Frank

RE: Feature Request: Add setting to select default forecast model
@EbT42
I concur. I live on one of this hard predictable places - and most but not all models keep doing rather moderate.
As I said there is a positive outlier which I have to look up every time by stick-shift.
To include model into prefs
seems intuitive and wise.
Thank you for listening. Keep up the brilliant work!

RE: Aladin model and Radar+ layer for widgets
I'd suggest to see the widget as keyhole to our individually preferred start layer.
Thats just straight-forward what users expect to appreciate most, doesn't it? -
RE: Radar+
A fascinating feature - my favorite layer. What if the player sequence goes by default to the end point of the modelled part? The moment it enters the realm of forecast the dial could flash in red to exclude misconception.
Cheers-

Visualization of Temp. trends
Hi everyone,
since Windy has mastered impressive Visuals
(and data piles) and because the Net has been flooded with fancy propagandized doom&gloom models - wouldn't it be great to start a (limited) pilot of compiling T data from a couple of years for say Czech Republic or Central Europa?
Software for sorting this out must already be availlable and the need to empower the public is h u g e !
Firstly you could take one specific date over say ten or thirty years.
An interesting project in that direction:

Have a good day!

Visualizing of potentially contaminated air masses
Vulcan eruptions, blown DU ammunition and other disasters may imply serious ramifications for populations even a thousand miles away.
A maintained, color-coded sequence of the distribution area based on wind- and precipitation data would offer a significant tool! Even if data about radiation/contamination levels are sparse or missing at all - the need for measurements could be established nvtl.
The Khmelnitskyi incident and the big derailment fire in the U.S. gave a strong impression... -
RE: Widgets don't load
@Ondřej-Šutera
Dear Ondřej,
earlier iPhones may require a choice of analog widget versions. Seven series running 15.7 seem to stand right on the edge: they display both a place-holding message demanding an iOS 14 version widget. The 7Plus produces ntl.
a secondary, free-standing functional widget.
Since future could - for a variety of reasons -
see a broader range of active device generations,
an automated OS/hardware check sounds reasonable.
Appreciate the luxury you already provided us with!
Always with pleasure:

Widget
Dear Sirs,
my 7Plus shows an "incorporated" but incapable widget a n d a free standing - functional -
version.
Now: With the intention to delete the bricked sibling on my 7Flat by iOS widget menu - instead the good one vanished and nothing could reproduce this desired version.
Since both work literally flawless on iOS 15.7 I wonder: What causes the discrepancy?Anyways: I wish you guys and everyone around a happy New Years Eve!
Regards:
