I found out how to do it.

On the desktop computer:

Click Menu in top left of screen, then click Favourites to see all the locations. Each favourite has an Edit button shaped like a pen. Click this to change the name.

On my Android phone:

Click Premium lower right corner of the screen, touch the title of the Favourite and edit it.

I want to rename favourites from some abstract name picked up from the underlying map to something that is meaningful to me. How can I do that?
