    • RE: Visibility tool ACCESS vs ECMWF

That's perfect thankyou, I assumed it was because it only went up to twenty but wanted to check.

So sorry! I didn't mention - it's when I look at the "visibility" module. Here's screenshots of ECMWF, ACCESS and ACCESS-SY

    • Visibility tool ACCESS vs ECMWF

Hi all, I'm new to Windy and primarily want to use it for astronomy so I've been playing around looking at cloud cover, layers etc. One thing I have noticed is when changing from the default model and the BOM model (access) is the huge difference in forecast distances.
With no formal help section that spells out the details of each layer and model (I've looked at the one in the FAQ section here) I'm only guessing when I assume that the BOM model tops out at 20km? The default is happy to predict 50-60km+. So I'm guessing 20km means 20km+?

      Thanks in advance. 🐀
