I recently (2 months ago) discovered the windy app and I just love it!
I have been sailing in the Canary Islands (have been sailing in Northern Europe fo many years) for a year and stryggled with the wind never corresponded to other prognoses. But since I discovered windy the winds and waves never hardly give give me a surprise anymore.

You say you have not found a business model yet. I think that is the beauty of your work. You can be your own master.
I beleive there are millions of people like myself who would be more than happy to make a small donation, like crowdfunding. Have you thought of that? Maybe there is a set up for that already?
