Do you remember when Skype was a perfect, quick, slim and loved app? Then Microsoft bought it and converted it to a sluggish, slow, overcomplicated monster crashing computers and phones nobody loved any more. You are now on the same path.
I don't want a master-class to check my weather. I want a quick, user friendly, responsive smart app with precise predictions. An app like windy before this update. These silly huge pictures instead of menu - whom are you trying to impress with unhelpful, similarly looking pictures with tiny size text, instead of a quick and slim menu which is easy to read?
The UI became cluttered, confusing, easy to lose details you want to see, just gimmicks. Maybe there are improved functions, but I can't see them through the pile of shiny junk you added. Clean it back, bring back usefulness, order, stability and clarity. This is a weather app, not a game for preschool children.
I loved windy and bought license to support it. Now I won't renew it and will look for something else. You killed it.

Please bring back old version. You killed a beautiful thing. New version is cluttered, unnecessarily huge images to illustrate every mode take up so much space. harder to navigate and find items, tiny fonts are VERY hard to read, it is slower to respond, location tracking easy to lose. Basically - it is totally messed up. I loved it. now i don't think i will renew my subscription. Obsession with changing what is good is not always paying off. Bring back old version ASAP, please. When you have real improvements, put them in. but don't destroy your beautiful creation!

this is what android users faced long ago, complained long ago to no avail. Now it came to website. I tried to use website as much as possible - now it is the same sxxx. For some reasons - even when asking for feedback - app designers completely ignore these comments for many months, almost a year, completely infatuated with this bad and clumsy design. I find it shocking. Is this done for customers? or for themselves? If for customers - respect their comments, make it more friendly again without all these "improvements" bothering users around the globe.
I suggested long ago - if designers love this style so much - make it an option. maybe some people share this bad taste and impractical version and would use it. But create a switch that would display old style, clear and compact menu and info. Then you can still love what you did, and thousands of users really irked by this unfriendly idea would have option to "go back" or keep it simple and better.
But I guess they will never listen. They love this junky design so much no word of opinion can change it. I am considering cancelling my paid subscription. maybe if enough of us just stop paying - they will notice something is not ok. I would come back to paid when it is fixed. because they don't respect normal comments, and this "upgrade" is the proof. Sad. Spatne hlopcy.

What happened to Wind Gusts?
In older version wind gusts were a sub category just under wind. Very easy, quick and handy. Now it disappeared. Where? I am sure it is somewhere, but in this clunky, ugly, bulky, confused new layout I can't find it.
Living in tropical mountains it is wind gusts that often can do a damage even without storm or hurricanes. so it was essential to see it quickly. Now - it is gone somewhere.
Why do i need to spend time going back and forth and remember illogical setup - just because you fancy to make it all worse? You had a jewel; you killed it and think you created a masterpiece. So why nobody jumps with joy except you?
Paying Premium for all these downgrades? I just cancelled my Premium account. maybe if enough of us show it this way $$$ will convince you to listen to so many complaining people. Please trust me. I have art education and decades long creative career. it is not more beautiful, more organized, and more user-friendly. It is ugly, confusing and terrible. First it was a mess only on phone, so i tried to use only my desktop. now even that is "upgraded". If you care for your paying users, please go back - or make it an option to switch to what you did so well before this unnecessary shamble. Thank you. -

@Flachkurbler exactly. You said what I wanted to add to my comments. Very easy to use - when you spend 2 weeks learning it, buy a new powerful phone that is dedicated only to this app so no lagging, or maybe a big tablet instead - to accommodate for unnecessary big icons on menu, and get used to all awkwardness. Very easy. Thank you! It is only us, uneducated users without master class diploma who can't appreciate this marvel. Easier still is to look for another, friendlier app.

I also can't stand these clumsy big unnecessary images, they take so much space and make finding what I want so much more difficult. If you guys are in love with your designing skills and can't shake off your unconditional love for these, at least make it optional to make it text only menu, for those who prefer functionality over gadgetry. Please. All other issues with new version still valid. It simply sucks. And the app after recent update crashes so often it is totally sad. You are killing your own baby.

Stop nagging me.it is pathetic.
I cancelled my subscription because windy is going down the drain with all horrible menu changes, messed up buttons and other things that only windy owners think are great. My money should not support this shamble.
So stop nagging me now at every button I push to "fix issue with subscription". It is not issue. It is my decision. You don't need to block my screen with graphic saying that thanks to wonderful supporters you managed to mess up your (used to be) fantastic app.
I have my brains and eyes. When it gets back to the level from before this disaster I may consider subscribing again, although I find ignoring hundreds of similar negative comments and beggings to go back - quite arrogant. So, it would take a while to bring my trust back.
Once again, stop nagging me. Respect my decision. If you want my financial support, at least show you care about hundr D's or thousands of
customers that happen to not like the mess you created. Grow up. Nagging is cheap. -

It is a valid post. Since you are not listening to feedback, many disappointed users may want out, and a forum is to help each other, in such emergency situations when you scare off loyal users too. If you want to be ahead of competition, do it through real improvements, listing to comments - not through censure of posts

Thank you for pointing to this somewhat hidden and not friendly location. when i click that wind, some other options that were handy disappear. so, now it is constant going inside menu and clicking, instead of very simple and intuitive navigation. What really is the logic and benefit of that?
You are determined to make it less friendly, more resource-hungry, and a more cheap looking app. I find it simply bizarre.

Trying to customize menu.
A pity I need to waste time trying to fix what was once perfect. But it is better than nothing.
I truly hope that you will add option to switch off confusing clumsy icons, and have menu as text only. So much more can fit, and less confusion with similarly looking cheesy icons. Personally I just hate them. Please make it an option to have normal text menu. Thank you.
