There are many problems with this new awful design ( which clearly developers love so much they don't listen to users.)
The clunky confusing oversized menu with similarly looking pictures has to go, many people agreed. Several other issues were mentioned regularly from day 1 of new version by many, also receiving only a fatherly smile of tolerance and understanding of our silly lack of appreciation.
There is however another thing that drives me crazy, and seems to be designed for retards even bigger than me, an old underappreciative premium user.
Every time you open the app and select home location and weekly weather for it, a red tag pops on over weekly predictions, saying it shows time in my selected location. Oh really? I would never guess. I find it irritating as it actually covers data of nearest prediction (wind, rain) which I want to see. The tag disappears after several seconds but if I want just a quick glimpse at incoming weather, it makes it difficult.
There seems to be no way of switching it off . What is so important about THIS info that it needs to pop up every time???
Maybe we also need to be reminded every time that a day has 24 hrs, what is the difference between Celsius and fernhait, that water freezes at zero, and other such important things? If you want to make it a colorful toy rather than a useful tool, I suggest different colors for such tags. Add something in yellow and green, it will be more cheerful.
But perhaps, on top of fixing what was messed up in new version you could actually improve some things? Like:
When I zoom out to see a wider area around my place and then want to see extended 10 days weather - it automatically zooms back in. Why??? Can't I decide what I want to see? Why can't it stay the way I selected? I need to change zoom every time, just to correct the weird assumption that I need to zoom in all the time.
Another problem: weather radar freezes very often, or simply graphics of rain disappear all together leaving blank radar circles.. I need to restart the app to see it back. ( then I have the joy of seeing the red note about time displaying for my location).
So, perhaps making the app run more smoothly would be more important than adding shiny but unwanted by most gadgetry, making the app unnecessarily big, clumsy, slower to load and less user friendly??? Looking forward to a moment when you will actually follow on feedback you asked for .
