I have recently noticed that when zoomed in to an area, new lightning strikes are surrounded by slowly expanding rings that soon fade away; what do these rings represent? Are they the expanding sound of thunder? That would be so cool! Thanks!

Full hemisphere views or touch and spin globe maps
I love Windy.com and frequently access the maps. Is there a way to view an entire hemisphere? What about a whole globe that can be spun about by click and drag? Flat maps have too much distortion. Thanks!!
