Radar on Android and Website down for about a day in Australia. Do Windy actually read and fix bugs? Why no Support email or chat for Premium subscribers? This is not the first time this year to lose radar. Works in other free apps so clearly Windy Premium is not working out. I can understand a couple of hours but not a day. I like the app but this is essential information and if I am going to go to free apps and sites to view then why pay?

RE: Australia Radar - No Data
This is the second time in a week and it keeps breaking every few months. Can you please advise if you know why it keeps breaking and if you plan to make a permanent fix. Other free weather services still have it up. It would be nice as a paying customer to get some feedback on what your plans are for this rather than we are working on it.

RE: No weather radar data - Australia.
Still no weather radar data, can you contact these clowns or do you just pay premium and hope they notice?

Rainfall History
Is there any chance of adding historical rainfall to the app. I would like to see rainfall last day, week, month, year and by date range by location. This would mean all my weather would be in one place. Thank You.

RE: No weather radar data - Australia.
Yes got caught out in rain as the weather radar data went off line again in Australia. It's the primary data that keeps falling. I had to download another weather app so it's still available, windy premium seems to have problems where all other apps don't. Disappointing.

RE: ACCESS-C coverage for Australia
I jsut found ACCESS-C yesterday and its so far very good for predicing rain. I hoped the ACCESS original when added would be good but it was almost always beaten by ECMWF. ACCESS-C is tracking rain exceptionally well at my home location. Just waiting for it to be added to the app.

RE: Australia Radar is not loading
Australia in full or in part goes down multiple times a year. If it happens on the weekend you notice it more as it seems to take about 48 hours to fix as where ever Head Office is they are likely still Sunday Monday morning in Australia. No reason for the failure is ever given. BOM has the data and so do other sites each time so its something Windy have a bug with when the feed drops it won't pickup again without human intervention. Since it happens so often over the weekend I think they may do maintenance then and forget to reset everything but I doubt we will ever know the reason. Sad when you pay so much that they have zero monitoring of these things out of hours and the weather never stops changing out of hours.

RE: Set preferred weather model as default
@Suty Thank you. The new weather models for Australia are great.
The website isn't so bad to switch but its super irritating on Android while out and about.
I see requests for many years about this. It seems like a setting for this would be one of your less challenging options but maybe there is some complexity that is stopping this feature.
ECMWF used to be my preferred option but now it isn't it is supper irritating.

RE: ACCESS-C coverage for Australia
@tscharke I was just playing around with the widgets and see we can't select the new Australian models their either as that could have been a work around. The first request I find for setting defaults in the app and website seem to be 2018. It seems like a simple request but something must be hard, likely the different weather models available in different countries.

RE: Rainfall History
I wouldn't expect a fast or useful answer from the BOM.
I have been looking at Weather Underground for real time very local data historical weather data particularly rain accumulation graphs. You often even in rural areas have a wide selection of reasonably accurate low cost weather stations and you get very frequent updates you just don't get from the BOM and data that isn't available in Windy like rainfall history. About 5% of the stations are lower quality results but looking at the map and comparing nearby monitors output you can quickly eliminate them. It is a reasonable crowd sourcing weather project that fills a gap that Windy or BOM don't provide.

RE: Android App where is the update time?
Almost right.
If you look at the weather radar or satellite layers you get no weather model times.
If you look at most of the other layers you get multiple different update times such as sea temperature and particle matter.
So a quick look and depending on the layer selected you get no weather model data or one of at least three times depending on the layer selected. It looks like the weather forecast is updated with the more common filters such as wind and temperature.
While this all seems obvious and straight forward it isn't at least on the mobile app which doesn't without a menu dive display any time at all and I almost always use the app. Depending on how the user is using the app they will either see no information all the way though to 3 time zones of updates for the ECMWF model.
All I really want is the app to show on the forecast the last updated time as it is on the web page and that will be the primary view most users go to but Windy will have the stats on that.
I may not be a Windy expert but I can't be the only user that is on the app and have trouble understanding this. I am almost convinced the update time was on the Android app in a obvious place in the past but I may be wrong.
Thanks for the help and now I understand the app much more than I did before.

RE: Android App where is the update time?
OK so I worked it out partially thanks, it depends on what data you are looking at.
Some data types don't have that information and some do. You can't view this while viewing the forecast. I still think last updated should show on the phone without messing around at a glance or an info button.
I guess I don't use most of the app, I view forecast and weather radar and its not obvious from either of those views. So from Weather Radar it says updated 3 minutes ago as it updates very frequently. It isn't clear what you select to see when the forecast was last updated. I selected Wind and it seems to be doing the updates every 6 hours so is that interval and time stamp matching the forecast or do I need to look select something else?

Android App where is the update time?
I can see when each weather model updated on my computer but not in the Windy Android app. Where can I find this?
Is there a location where each weather model shows next update time so I would like to see how long since last update and local time of next update for each weather model?
I was out and we had major rain and thunderstorms in Victoria Australia yesterday afternoon while both the ECMWF and ACCESS showed no rain until 14 hours later in the forecast. Only ACCESS updated to show rain 1.5 hours later when it updated from sunny to rain while ECMWF did an update around the same time and still didn't know it was heavy rain but it did bring the prediction of rain forward by about 6 hours but still 8 hours in the future.
I need rain predictions that are in the ball park which is the only reason I pay premium but today it failed. You often see a few hours different for rainfall predictions which is understandable but yesterday made no sense. ECMWF is generally more accurate than ACCESS when predicting rain even though ACCESS is Australia specific.

RE: Rainfall History
Thanks for that. The two closest weather stations moved within a hundred meters and got new identifiers and we only have 30 years data locally. I couldn't find where the "old" weather station data is, it isn't on the map.
Also the weather isn't updated that frequently. One station is showing 0mm yesterday and we had a lot of rain and the other is 4 days behind.

RE: Australia Weather radar missing data again.
Hello @KORINA do we keep reporting this when it happens oor do you have systems in place to monitor this?

RE: Australia Weather radar missing data again.
There are multiple apps that use the same BOM data and yours is the only one that seems to go down. They are free apps so how do they have data feed when you don't if its a provider issue?
