Beyond that, do you know if the team has any intention of adding the AIFS model as its own option at some point? Or any of the Ensemble products they offer?

@Filip_K I see on desktop V44.0.1 at least (iOS 18 with Windy app V43.0.4 does not have it) that ECMWF extends out to 15 days now.

Is that leveraging the AIFS that was previously only in the forecast detail, or is that just the "standard" ECMWF model that @WX-OM mentioned a few weeks back?

Is there any plan to have both versions of the ECMWF available?

@Suty It would be incredible if we could have a few model runs to compare. I'm sure you know that run to run variability can make forecasting difficult, so being able to see trends would really make Windy stand out even more than it already does.

Are you able to elaborate on some of the hurdles?

@idefix37 Hard to say (for me!). I can report this morning it's working now, any idea what the cause was? The error console seemed to be empty when I was looking.

@idefix37 I tried restarting my PC/reloading the page, and still get the same error. Same behavior on mobile (V43.0.4)

Just wanted to say thank you for adding this! I love being able to adjust the time window for rain totals.

If could make one suggestion, currently it lets you set a time window outside the forecast range for a given model, giving a "no data" error. Would be nice to have the slider dynamically know where to stop to prevent that.

Overall though, I love it. Thank you!

@Suty The issue resolved itself sometime that evening I think. When I checked the next day for the 12z updates it was working as normal.

I noticed the HRRR model hasn't updated on Windy since the 11z run this morning. I've tried on both mobile/desktop with the same result.

@Suty @David-Polášek this is exciting news! I now see the AIFS extension in the forecast detail. Excited to see it roll out as a model.

Will it replace the traditional ECMWF, or will it be an extra option? Would be neat if we could keep both. The more the better, I say!

@idefix37 Thanks for the link. That's a bummer.

I guess if most folks aren't using it and it's buggy I can see why it would be removed. I would like to still have it primarily as a tool to take snapshots of "ideal" pattern setups in my area for future reference. The other use case is being able to see run to run differences (as Windy only shows the current run).

I would also like to see the ECMWF AI model!

I assume I'm just a dingus and can't find it, but are animations still a feature, either on desktop or mobile?

@Suty I made a post elsewhere, but thank you for adding this model! I saw the 2.5km version added on desktop this morning. Not showing on my app yet, assume the next update will have it?

Also curious if the HRDPS 1km run will also be available at some point?

I just wanted to say thank you for adding this model! It's very helpful to round out the forecast. Now, I have a tendency to look a gift horse in the mouth, is there any chance the HRDPS 1km will end up being added? I know from previous posts it's a big lift. Just curious.
