Your interpretation of the name of my local area in NZ is wrong. Tutukaka as it originally was named is correct, Someone has changed it to Pukearenga Tutukaka. Not correct. Pukearengarenga is the local mountain or maunga. Tutukaka is the name of what is the modern day village, translated as the place of the kaka (native parrot) snaring tree. Like may indigenous cultures places were named after events, sometimes significant ones. Changing or adding new names or words completely changes the meaning of the name.

Both main models ECMWF and GFS fail miserably to nowcast rain and in particular neither align with the weather radar. In the most recent example, we should have experienced >25mm rain in the past 9 hrs and have received

O.k. what I don't understand then is I used to get the full 10 day animation prior to AIFS?

@idefix37 sure, I only evert look at EMCW and GFS but the low res forecast does not update if you manually move the cursor along the date line (currently showing at 11pm). This is a new thing. The app seems to work fine so it's just the desktop (browser ) version.

Why is there no animation available for low res forecasts? Regardless of how inaccurate they may be that far out I still enjoy seeing them.

@Suty this is the worst development yet, it sucks balls sorry. The other gripe I have is that the zoom function is now hidden as I choose to view mostly wind an rain along the bottom panel with the ability to zoom in and out as I wish. I can no longer do that as zooming is hidden below the panel. Can I revert to the previous UI which was simple to use and effective?

@Suty how do I change the UI from icons only back to names e.g wind, rain etc?
