In aviation, before flight, the pilots use fronts and tipically stationnery fronts to avoid storms.
In fact, fronts are very inportants for aviation security.
An other way to improve security is to produce storms animations using lightnings data: the pilot can forecast where storms move and which altitude is the best for the trip he wants to achieve.

Prévision de tsunami en utilisant des balises houlographiques et le satellite Argos
Depuis 4O ans, le CNES utilise des balises Argos pour repérer des bateaux en difficulté.
(Pour mémoire, accident du Manureva en 1980 )
La préfecture des P-O a annoncé que le département pouvait être soumis à un risque de tsunamis qui devraient statistiquement être moins catastrophiques que ceux observés en Atlantique.
(Disparition de l 'Atlantide, séisme de Lisbonne dus à des séismes de forte magnitude >=7)
Le centre de prévision des tsunamis en France n' étant pas loquace, il serait préférable de se fier à un système de balises houlographiques placés perpendiculairement à la côte du Languedoc Roussillon sur une distance suffisamment grande pour que une alerte automatique soit diffusée avec un délai minimum de 30 minutes aux habitants en bord de mer.

Hi,
It would be very interesting to draw cold , hot front-lines and stationary front - line using professional meteorologist forecast in order to avoid storms before take off !!!
