    • RE: Understanding the Compare Forecast Feature in Windy.com

Weather Radar of course, as Windy.com combines weather models (rain & forecasts), and it's always only minutes from it's next update.

@nesro Thank you. I actually became a premium member because what you had for free was so good! I felt you guys deserved it on that alone.

    • RE: How to read Meteogram

@dorucalinciobanu that's a national weather agency, or something. Have to ask the government or someone like that

    • RE: All forecast data wrong?

@rodrigogusso Yes. Same here. Something wrong with at least mblue and ECMWF. Perfect weather here with 0 clouds and nothing nearby. However those two models show rain all day. NOAA had correct forecast and 0% precip, and happened as well (today).

    • RE: AI plans?

@JCSpence I think they will have to. My phone has an excellent weather app that just appears by default, and it's updating now (Google Play). I see two AI features have been added. I used it on a trip last month, and it did the route planning setup & display much better, as I just loaded the city names into the from screen at 2 clicks could give me any city at any time. ... Okay going to see what Google or Android AI weather is like

@Wheats hi. Is this fixed? Thanks. I downloaded an old version, so I'm not sure if I should update again? Thanks James

    • RE: AI for Distance and Planning

@idefix37 Thanks for reading this. I am sorry that the river and speed buttons didn’t show up, as it detracted from my point. Here's a much better picture from the cruise line, and with a Windy.com overlay. https://postimg.cc/JtTZsRQz My point is now with AI, I can say, something like, "What's the weather on my multi day trip?" Total time 1 to 2 minutes. However, Distance and Planning took me multiple iterations over a few days to setup and run, to realize that it will likely not be correct, as the speed of travel is not a constant. I also tried to emphasize what an amazing product Windy.com is, and I only pay for it because I am so impressed with what went into it! I think it might be time to incorporate some AI, so it's not left behind, no reflection on anyone here or the app itself. That's life; just ask the horse, typewriter, pencil, notebook, candle, payphone, outhouse etc

    • AI for Distance and Planning

      Hello Developers,

Let me start by saying, I am very cheep about what I pay for online, yet I found your app a few years back, and didn't need any subscription features, but was SO AMAZING that I paid, just because I was so IMPRESSED with the product, but didn't need the paid features!

Transition, I worked for a boss that once said, "No news [from customers], is bad news, and bad news is good news." Bad news coming:

So, as a past [second career] programmer, I understand what went (and goes into) the Distance and Planning module. I spent a few hours over a few days to get it to [incorrectly] display the weather for my upcoming Europe trip: Passau Germany May 2, Linz Austria 3rd, S![alt text](image url)ailing 4th, Krems 5th, ... Budapest... And, I am sure it's not going to be correct, as the boat moves and stops and moves and stops. It will come down to me just looking, 12 hours at the next stop, each day, something I can just do online. 🙁

Then I went to an AI, Gemini, today, and put in the cities, dates and weather. [I actually used OCR]. In 1 minute, vs a few hours over a few days, I had accomplished, more accurately, the weather forecasts.

Sorry for the "bad news," but like the pay phone, horse, typewriter etc, things, as you know, just become obsolete. Maybe, put some AI in there?

Again, amazing app, I just basically donate my subscription, as again, I was SO impressed by what you guys have done.

    • RE: Distance and planning App bug

@idefix37 ah, thx. I also figured out I have to long press the home (house) to get my local weather. Just tapping it and touching the 4 day doesn't work to pull up the local area anymore. EDIT: ooo. that's now fixed, or working again (w/o having to long press).

    • RE: Distance and planning App bug

There seems to be a new error introduced with that white blinking dot, or at the same time. What is that white dot anyway? Also, now after I press the home (house button) then touch forecast for this location, it no longer goes to my location, but some random place, indicated by that blinking white dot. My location (solid blue dot) is correct. Also, sometimes the 4 day forecast is at the top, And, at the same time (overlaid) is the distant planning, forecast for this location and sounding both at the same time. Mobile, Android.

    • RE: Route Planner Mobile?

@idefix37 Ah, thank you for replying. Okay, that must correspond to the vertical red line ------- . Trouble is that's not my actual position. I realize that has nothing to do with Windy, but my cell phone and maybe VPN?...
I've messed with the settings and this location surprise happens on other apps too. I was hoping that was not happening here.
lol. I am the white dot & and blue dot...(I haven't left my home and they are miles apart) it's Google that's my cell phone provider, Fi, and Duck duck go VPN... Okay. thank you very much, James

    • Route Planner Mobile?

Hi. First, what's the white dot? It's not where I am; that's the blue dot. Second, before I ask the next question, this is a mobile phone screenshot. Does it even work correctly on mobile? Thanks, James
