    • RE: Isobar lines, again

      @idefix37 You are quite correct, however, my principal complaint is the near inaccessibility of the isoline button, if you will. It should be on the primary menu right up top where it can be recovered easily if wanted.

      It is the only feature I know of that has the characteristic of frequently switching off when a change of background is selected. Those who do not use isolines wouldn't probably care if it were more prominent.

      Not being a programmer I don't know how difficult it would be to affect a change. I think many would applaud this.

      Thank you for your reply and clarification, James Flint

    • Why are isolines so difficult to show>

      I am a retired USAF and international airline pilot. Walk into a met office anywhere in the world and the walls are plastered with wx maps with isobar lines.
      I realize that Windy Premium is intended for a diverse audience which it does splendidly. Isolines should be a default and an opt-out display. I am on a laptop and they cannot be displayed or are perfectly hidden.
      I can get these on any government or academic weather site but enjoy Windy Premium's diversity. Please help an old, washed-up aviator. SaberJim

    • Isobar lines, again

      Windy is a fantastic program for pro and amateur alike. As a retired 60 yr, aviator I consider myself at least a semi-pro. Most all charts used in aviation and for other professional uses have isobar (pressure) lines.

      Windy has these as an overlay but they seem to have an annoying habit of disappearing when you change displays, I would use them for almost every different setting if It were possible to use them as a default setting.

      There is a pressure chart selection on the main menu with isolines but mostly useless. The real overlays are buried at the bottom of the "more layers" menu. Very inconvenient to access every time they mysteriously disappear. Please make the overlay more accessible or permanent if one wishes. A lot of us will be very grateful.

      With gratitude,

      James Flint

      @vujacicm
      Fly to Australia with a good weather radar. When the turbulence shakes the fillings out of your teeth you have found one for real. (not advised)

      It is a bug if your programmers have not responded to many requests for two years.

    • RE: deleting a favorite completely

      @idefix37
      Thanks for your reply, Sailor. Your last line in your reply says it all. No can do.

      I shoved the unwanted links (the places in the search box that have not been selected as favorites. I solved the problem by re-doing all my preferred links (locations) in the search box and designating them as favorites thus shoving the unwanted ones down the list out of sight.

      I wish there was a simple way to eliminate any temporary item in the search box that is not needed anymore, favorite or not.

      @idefix37
      Hi, Sailor,

      There was a post a while back that said just un-click on the heart icon to eliminate the favorite That worked but I want to eliminate the entire link. After a while they bury my favorites way down in the stack where they are not accessible necessitating retyping the name of the link. I would prefer to have only a few links on the screen. Am I missing something?

      Thanks, Jim Flint - washed up fighter pilot and 747 Capt. and lifelong WX geek

    • duplicate cities

      I entered a search for Burbank. The program came up with Burbank, WA when I wanted Burbank, CA. Now I cannot get rid of the first. How do you eliminate a duplicate city?

      Thanks,
