Cloud height measurements

What unit of measurement is used for measuring the elevation of clouds (low clouds, medium clouds, etc.)? I'd like to set up my windy weather map to display just low and medium clouds, but I'm having difficulty understanding the elevation measurements associated with different cloud types (i.e. both low and high clouds have values of 0 - 100, but medium clouds have values of 0 - 70).
