@TomSlavkovsky The user just has to adjust them by hand anyway after the app opens, so no savings. Or are you saying most users are happy looking at the defaults? If so they would also not try to set a preferred startup configuration either.

RE: Windy is showing me a webcam
Ah! I get it. That's what happens when there is only one webcam in my vicinity.

RE: App has no way to set Home screen Start-up zoom
OK. (But perhaps do like the Flightradar24 app, remembering the previous zoom through thick and thin (all manner of restarts, powerdowns, etc.)

RE: Windy 3D mode is back!
It may be 3D if one wants to look at the whole world.
But I was just wanting to look at just e.g., Taiwan,
https://www.windy.com/-Weather-radar-radar?radar,23.546,119.020,9
and I saw the 3D button and expected something like Google Earth where I can
tilt the view etc.So for smaller areas it is just still 2D.

RE: How to set up a Windy Alert
@idefix37 It turns out the "suspend alert for some time" button is only available if one clicks on the link sent to one's mailbox. Otherwise for me it the pencil is just a "rename" link, like the last pencil in your image, the one that you didn't put a red arrow next to.

Android app lacks instructions
I just installed the Android app, and my very first impression is I can't find the instructions.

RE: Alert menu wind direction should also include arrows
In fact I now notice the original "pizza pie" in the image indeed has eight slices, apparently trying to express the same thing
(that a slice pointing north is called "S"(outh), etc.) -
Three hour jumps are just too crude
- Visit https://www.windy.com/-Rain-thunder-rain?rain,23.790,120.624,8
- Hit keyboard→→→→... to advance time three hours at a time.
You will observe that for major storm blobs one can follow the logic of how they travel.
But for anything less, it is: how did cloud A jump to point B? Etc.
Therefore we see that three hour jumps are just too wide.
One hour jumps are needed to keep the cloud movement logic recognizable. P.S., no I am not "overly zoomed in for my own good."
The site does a super job with the little wind arrows. Now time to fix up jerky weather blob (cloud) movement.

RE: How to change the default startup zoom level in the app?
@Yves70 That's too bad. Each time I start up I have to zoom in thousands of miles. I guess whoever set the defaults lives in a larger country or uses some regional approach to looking at weather. Alas, there is no "one size fits all."
-
RE: Three hour jumps are just too crude
@Gkikas-LGPZ I see. Hmmm, it seems that their predictions are vastly different too. So I suppose you fellows made the best choice for default. OK.

Weather-radar screen updates resemble inchworm (but that's OK!)
Ah ha, I finally figured it out!
I figured out what animal the special way the blobs move across the
screen after one presses the playback arrow button on e.g.,
https://www.windy.com/-Weather-radar-radar?radar,23.529,121.740,7
The animal is: an inchworm!
Note I am not criticizing windy.com in any way.
I am just saying how the blobs move,AAA---BBB then, ---AAABBB then, ---AAA---BBB
resembles an inchworm.
(I'm sure the algorithm has its reasons and advantages, especially for
people on slow networks like me.) -
Airgram colors hard to read
Tap "display as Airgram.". The hour colors are hard to read. Please just use simple black numerals. Thank you.

RE: X map closer button
OK.
I am saying normally we just want to see the map, and no day to day predictions. But sometimes we only want to see the predictions, but no map (which would be a waste of data traffic.)
So there should be a way...

X map closer button
In this situation, there is only an X for the bottom half of the screen. I want there to be an X also for the top half of the screen. In other words sometimes we just want to see the day-to-day predictions and not cause the map to waste data as we move the days forward..

Want to turn off all highway cameras
I wish there was a setting, that would ensure that all highway cameras are turned off, no matter which page of the windy app I'm looking at. Because I'm really much more concerned with the weather, and don't want to waste any of my precious data allotment bandwidth with highway cameras. Thank you.

@vsinceac Yes, thank you. That is what I am trying to say.

Satellite imagery not provided by OpenStreetMap contributors
That's some great satellite imagery,
but in no way are they provided or copyrighted by
OpenStreetMap contributors.
Please use the proper annotation as required by the imagery provider. Thanks. -
RE: Windy 3D mode is back!
OK, I did (logged out):
- Browse windy.com
- Click "3D".
Now I am looking at some kind of planetarium. I just see a lot of stars, no matter how I rotate the screen with the mouse.
