Hi @jidanni as you mentioned, I would recommend the app, but you still need to use the menu on the right side (those three bars), and click on Find my location there. Also, it is available in all versions and zoom levels so it should solve the problem.

Hi @jidanni good point, however we don't have any messages from users about this issue yet. The different tone of color is used because of different type of section in the menu, because white ones below are all layers offered by Windy.

@korina I am not talking about the three animals. I left the middle default animal selected. I am simply talking about the way the clouds etc. move across the screen. They don't move as one clump. The left part moves then stops. then the right part moves the same distance. Sort of like an inchworm.

OK. I am saying normally we just want to see the map, and no day to day predictions. But sometimes we only want to see the predictions, but no map (which would be a waste of data traffic.) So there should be a way...

@petra-pik I wholeheartedly support options to toggle on-off video and/or photo images, like highway cameras, to save data downloads over preciously expensive, finite, and often shaky internet connections. I use Windy extensively for voyage planning by sail, often from locations where internet is not yet first-world hi-bandwidth.

@vsinceac That's great. OK, but today's users are used to sites with a lot of mouseovers and get nervous without them. Therefore many such spots could have a mouseover saying "click ⓘ above for details".

@Korina Fine. Anyway, in all cases the little animated wind arrows are easier to see on a non-distracting background. That is why it is the only choice at lower zoom levels. That principle still holds at higher zoom levels. Alas "the rug has been pulled out from underneath us" at higher zoom levels. Therefore please consider offering the non-distracting background as one of the choices for high zoom levels. Thanks.

Ah! I get it. That's what happens when there is only one webcam in my vicinity.

Perhaps have it instead use an arrow, just like I drew.

Ah, perhaps simply a case of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_bias , where the author A sees a non moving image of the animal on the right, to mean "faster" than the moving image of the center animal. Different than viewer B living in different country C.
