Windy currently does not offer any historic data. It is frequently asked for and the Windy guys promise it will happen in the future.
I'm a former math and computer science high school teacher now disabled. I spend a lot of my free time on my computer reading, listening to music, stream video and all those things most of us do.

RE: Wind stats archive?
I certainly hope that no corporation ever gets their hands on Windy and ruins it. It is so delightful to be able to post a question here in the community and have the programmers answer you themselves. It's fun to post a suggestion, get a personal response from the owners and then see it become part of windy. Do you honestly think that a corporate owner would provide Windy for free? Do you think they would give you complete access to their data?
The Weather Underground used to be a much better site with users interacting with each other until they got bought by weather.com. Now all they basically are is a revenue stream for the corporate owner.
Please do not sell out to some faceless corporation.
RE: How do I tell Wind Speed?
On the bottom right corner of the map, you will see something like:
On the row beginning with the ★, click the next icon, the , to turn on wind speeds display. You will get a lot of winds speeds being displayed.
For example, here is a map of the Washington DC area before the wind speeds are displayed
and here is the same area after the wind speeds are displayed
On the bottom right hand corner of your map, you will see something like:
Click on the ★ icon in the first row (mine is already selected in the pic so it's red) and there will be a ★ on the map for each of your Favorites. When you click on one of the ★'s, a large, window wide box with lots of weather information for that site will display at the bottom of the map.
Alternately, at the top left of the screen, you will see something like:
If you click on the , a Menu will display with Favorites as one of the choices. I hope this helps.
RE: Can I get your information in feet and miles and Fahrenheit degrees?
You can select English (or many other languages) as your default. In the upper corner, click on the 3 Horizontal Lines to display the Menu.
When you click the menu icon you get:
Click on Settings to get:
Near the bottom, click on Advanced Settings to make your selections.
You can set your preferred setting at the top and scroll down to choose you preferred language.
RE: Windy App not showing wind map
I believe that the Windy authors are aware of your's and other's issues with the current iOS app. I have no other specific information to say here other than I guess we should be patient. I have an iPad Pro and have the same issues. Lucky me though, I also have 2 computers to view the website.
RE: FAA Webcams
In the mean time, there may be some citizen owned or public webcams available in your area. I just checked the Anchorage forecast, scrolled to the right and found a number of web cams like:
Choose the Forecasted Weather button in the lower right corner.
Go to your area and click on one of the small blue boxes. The forecast will display and if you scroll to the right, there may be some webcams available.
RE: Home page
You can get local forecasts for many locations. Here's how. I'm using the web version of Windy but the steps will be similar with either app.
In the lower right corner of the screen, there are three horizontal boxes with some choices you have available. Click on the Partly Cloudy icon.
When you zoom into an area (I'm showing St. Louis, MO . USA), a number of blue boxes will display with wind speeds.
Click on one of the blue boxes (I clicked the box over St Louis) and the lower portion of the screen will display a forecast for the area.
There will be a 6 day forecast plus other useful information as you scroll to the right.
