In the second to the last paragraph on the cumulonimbus learning clouds section, you wrote shalter and I think you meant to write shelter. I do like all the new enhancements to Windy.

Hurricane Michael has come ashore near Panama City, Florida
In the last hour, Hurricane Michael has made landfall and as a strong Cat-4 hurricane just short of a Cat-5 with 155 mph (250 kph) winds and gusts to 175 mph (280 kph). It is moving at a fast 14 mph (23 kph). The pressure was just measured at 928 mb, one of the lowest ever to hit a US coast even lower than Hurricane Katrina.

RE: About Android API
You can probably find out everything you want to know about the current Windy API4 at Windy API v4.

RE: Settings glitch of "Rain Accumulation"
There are some Windy layers which cannot be changed when using an Android or iOS device. Rain Accumulation is one of them. If you would like the list of layers which cannot be changed, it is available at Overview of units used on Windy. If you aren't interested in looking up items like this (as most users would not want to do also), then make any of those changes using the Windy website using a browser. Changes made using a browser save to the cloud and will then be available when using either an Android or iOS app. If you cannot make a change using a browser, then submit a bug report.

RE: Rainfall accumulation map
I just opened Windy in my browser and changed my accumulation scale to mm.
Then I set my overall setting to mm for rain.
I closed the Windy tab and reopened it fresh and my settings were still both mm.
Then I left settings in mm but changed the scale to inches, closed and reopened Windy and Windy remembered both settings. Could this be browser specific? I am using Opera on a Mac. What do you use?

RE: Default color scale missing a decimal point for accumulated rainfall
Ahh, found it. I was using an app initially but realize what you were saying once I launched my browser. Yes, it seems to be a mistake but you can change the number to 31.2 by adding a period to the number right there as just did. I agree that the default value is not correct.
Admins, take note!

Weather Channel Reporter Caught In FAKE Hurricane Florence Segment
Check out the video of Mike Seidel of the Weather Channel as he struggles to keep his balance during a faked Hurricane Florence segment. He clearly is struggling to keep his balance in the "fierce" wind until we see 2 guys in the background casually walking by not affected by the supposed fierce wind at all. Note in the upper left corner of the screen that the wind was only 29 MPH. A Weather Channel statement said he was tired and on slippery grass. Of course pavement was only a foot or two away from him. It is incredible that Mike Seidel and the Weather Channel faked this segment given all the actual severe weather in the area.
Shame on Mike Seidel and the Weather Channel.
Take some time and enjoy all the spoofs that have been posted already on YouTube.

RE: Rainfall accumulation map
Directions to set Main Menu Settings to your desired preference.
For this answer, I'll assume you are using an Android or iOS app and the main settings are in mm. Here is the process to change Main Settings to inches. The pictures are screenshots of my iPhone X but any Android phone should be similar.
First, click on the current layer icon to get to the Main Layer Menu.
Next you will see the Main Layer Menu.
Scroll the menu all the way to the bottom and click on Advance Settings.
You will then see the general Setting Menu.
Make sure the items in the red box are set to inches for Rain and/or Snow. Set any other general setting you wish to change. When you exit the Main Menu, all will be saved. -
RE: Default color scale missing a decimal point for accumulated rainfall
I'm not sure what you are referring to when you wrote color scale. If you mean the scale at the lower right corner, then my scale tops out at 3 ft.
Would you be more specific? Are you using a browser or app? Which app or which browser? Are you referring to a different scale than in my pic?

RE: Remove picker
A single click is the Windy method to show a picker at a location so if you click anywhere, one will display. If you are attempting to move the map around, click and quickly move the map around to your desired location without releasing your click until you are done moving. Then a picker won't display.

RE: C to F
You don't mention whether you are using the Android or iOS app or the Windy website. Sometimes changes don't happen using an app so go to their website using a browser and do this:
First, select the Temperature Layer on the left side of the screen.
Then in the lower, right corner of the screen you can see the temperature scale.
Simply click on the °F to change it to °C or vice versa. It saves to the cloud and will also change in apps. -
RE: Summer 2018 was the hottest ever measured in Prague
I recently watched this video/animation of global temperature changes during the past century. It's gone viral on the Internet. It would be hard to deny global warming unless you simply deny the facts. Unfortunately, we in the USA have too many fact deniers in positions of power. We plan on starting a change on Nov 8th with our mid-term elections. Pardon my political comment.

RE: Storm Track Prediction
Windy was born in 2014 by Ivo because of his love for the wind. That's why so many options are available for kiting, paragliding and other wind related activities. I don't think that the goal of the developers was forecasting the weather (storm tracks, etc) it can certainly be used by forecasters because of all the layers available. A
video is available on YouTube. -
RE: Web Cam Upload
All you need to do is go to the website called Webcams.travel, add your web camera there and eventually it will be available to Windy from there. You cannot add your web cam directly to Windy.

RE: How do I get the kite size icons to show up on windy ?
In addition to what @idefix37 just wrote you can change things on the webpage version of Windy and it automatically appears in apps on Android or iOS. At the bottom right corner of the screen, the kite icon may already be on your Quick Menu.
If it isn't there, click the More Layers and you get a list of icons you can have on your Quick Menu. You are allowed 7 icons. If you already have 7 icons, then you will have to turn one off before selecting the kite icon. Everything saves when you close the menu.

RE: WHICH ICON IS TO SEE ACTIVE HURRICANES OR STORMS
There isn't any particular icon or layer for Hurricanes, Typhoons and the like on Windy. You can view the areas of major storms like hurricanes by turning on Pressure Isolines way at the bottom of the Layer choice menu. In addition you can then look at clouds and winds to get a feel for the storm. Or you can do like I do and checkout the WeatherUnderground Hurricane page. They do a great job of showing anything you want to know about hurricanes in progress.
