To which model are you referring? Have you tried all models available in you area?

So which model do you use? They are 3 in you area : ECMWF, GFS and NAM. May be one is better for temperature forecast in Maine.

Wind accumulation shows the areas of the map where the strongest gusts are forecasted over the next 10 days. So it gives the forecasted track of strong but concentrated storms like tropical hurricanes.

To turn off Reported wind click on the cross (empty map) .
