Hi!
When browsing through the weather models that Windy offers, I observed that the NEMS 4km model (Reference time 2022-07-27T12:00:00Z) shows some extreme values for 10m wind.
This happens at the northern (Västervik in Sweden) and southern (Valletta, south of Italy) model boundaries.
When comparing with Meteoblue for the same area and time, the same pattern is not observed:
To me it seems like Windy expands the region of NEMS with some kilometers, compared to the region from Meteoblue, and thus Windy includes the problematic/infinite values.
(Or is it Meteoblue that decreases the region shown to avoid displaying the boundary value problems?)
Do you have some explanations for this behaviour?
And does Windy only display the model forecasts, or are some calculations (like interpolation between global and local/regional models) done?
Thanks for a great app!
