It has been over a year, I think, since my last post.

Shortly after that, you came out with an update which included a radar widget for iOS (YAY!!!!!!!!!!) I should have written when that first came out, since I was so vocal about getting one.

So I wanted to let you all know how very happy I am with having your radar widget! It looks great and works just as well as your app does. So now, I hardly ever get into the app because I can see everything in the today view.

This is truly, a marvelous addition to your utilities. And I am so proud to be a premere member and supporting such a wonderful organization. (I just hope that apple doesn't do something to cause it to not work. Shhhhhhhhh...)

I also love love love seeing others using Windy as their radar source!

@petra-pik Or course I understand and I can be very patient. However, every time the widget fails on me, I will take the opportunity to remind you folks that the problem still exists, in case the bug gets forgotten.

@petra-pik The point is that every time this happens, the only thing that works is a complete delete/reinstall including removing the widget first. Every time.

@petra-pik It has been a while since I last wrote, but Windy widget has been behaving itself until this morning, when it suddenly reverted back to it's "unable to load" state. I'm very disappointed that this bug has not been fixed yet. After all, as your community software reminded me, this thread is old. Please advise. Thank you.

I have often wished that I had the Wind icon on the main/quick menu ie. on the map, instead of having to go to look through the longer menu list. After all, Windy is the name of your product. So, why is it missing?

@petra-pik I'm sorry for the confusion here because this has nothing to do with enhancements to the ios widget.

I'm reporting that my widget suddenly fails to load data and the only way to get the widget to work again is to delete windy and then re-downlload the app again. If you look back in this thread, you will see my previous comments. I'm just saying that the problem still exists.

Well, it's been a few months and iOS has a new operating system but the widget problem isstill with us. So I will delete the app and reinstall again and see what that does for me. And I will, of course, report back when there is something to report.

Thank you for the new version of Windy. I was hoping that the widget not reloading was fixed, but sadly, it is not.

@Korina Will the iOS widget problems also be fixed in the newest update? Thank you.

I am in desperate need of a radar widget for my iPhone. Even if it updates only every 10 minutes or so and is not exactly "real time" it would be better than what I currently have, which is nothing.

Maybe someone knows of an iOS weather app that has some sort of radar widget? I really am having a very hard time living without one.

Can Anybody help me? Please?

@Korina Is the update for just the android side of life or will it also update iOS as well, and by any chance, might it also include a radar widget for iOS??

I am sorry to say that because we are using devices with different operating systems, your report cannot help me. I can only hope and pray that the good folks at Windy will add the radar widget to the iOS app and then I will praise then up one side and down the other... I might even subscribe. But Korina didn't sound like a radar widget was part of the plan. But I keep hoping...

I am so sorry it has taken me so long to get back here to further comment, however, the widget has not had so much as a hiccup since my last install in May. I do want to thank everybody who tried to help me. And I still love Windy and I still miss having a radar widget, so if someone finds an app that has a radar widget for iOS, please pass the information my way. Please.

@Korina This morning tne widget crashed at 8:37a EDT. I was working on one of the many daily puzzles at the time and didn't know it crashed until I went into Today to open something else via my launcher widget and saw the "unable to load" message. I tried removing the widget then adding it again, but tne result is the same.

You should also know that other than right after the re-re-re-install, when I changed the metric setting to English, I did not touch the app. I did, however, use one of my browsers (firefox or savari) to look at Windy.com.

So now you have some idea how long it takes before it crashes.

I have all those wonderful widget crash reports that I have no way to get to you, should someone be willing to look at them. But until I can tet the widget to work for longer than a week, I'm not going to be able to justify sending youany money.

@Korina Because of the problems that I am having with the iOS widget only working for a day or two at the most before it stops working so badly that I have to reinstall the app. This results in having to reinstall Windy every 2-3 days. Not a very desirable situation, to be sure.

I want to do some testing of the widget while keeping Windy in default vanilla configuration. If the widget fails after only two or three days without changing any settings, then there is surely something wrong with my system. Maybe some faulty setting is not being deleted when I remove the app, or another app is interfering Windy's widget functionality. But, whatever the problem, I would like to get it resolved.

So, right after this posts, I will remove Windy again, reboot my iPhone 7Plus, reinstall Windy 24, and take lots of screen shots.

I am still getting Widget crash reports, but I don't know enough to make heads or tales of them.
