Windy[ty] is an absolute gamechanger. Have been using since first launched, and its just keeps getting better [living in equatorial lats once youve used Windyty with ECMWF data theres no going back!] thanks so much Ivo, Pavel and team!!!
Living with the ocean in remote SW Pacific where observed data is nonexistent or highly unreliable, hindcasting is critical to understanding how weather systems impact local conditions. Being able to step back even a few days [prior to current time] on the timeline provides the granularity that all archive subscription services over the years have failed to, being able to pull up previous seasons wind and waves at that granularity….total game changer!
For planning oceanographic charters months ahead, being able to access historical data in Windy's UI adds hugely useful context in predicting trough, ridge, and frontal trends, even rainfall anomalies, which are notoriously difficult to fcst here in the SPCZ. Damn handy for planning those all-too-rare kiting and surfing strike missions around Sols too ;)

RE: Please bring back updated time of each weather forecast model
@aznareus said in Please bring back updated time of each weather forecast model:
Hello,
There's usually a label that shows when the weather model was updated. eg "Updated 1 Hrs ago"
This feature is very useful, since my work heavily relies on the weather forecast, and I wanted to know if the forecast data that I am seeing is updated (Not the one that was updated 5-6 hrs ago). Thanks, TravisPleeeeease reinstate this :)
Paying for premium then having to open Model list, select Compare Forecasts, then scroll fifteen days to the right, just to see if this is the updated fcst or not [and still not seeing 'Update xxhours ago'] is crazy. It was perfect in previous version, and your app & site are brilliant, indispensable living in remote location! thanks! K -
RE: Windy launches Satellite layer
if you're in the Western Solomons at the moment, you'd appreciate just how useful Windy's Satellite layer is. not to mention the ECMWF fcsts and all the other stuff. love yr work Ivo & co !!!

- By clicking on the small circled i at bottom right corner of your screen in the browser version
At least you can find the update time, even it needs more clicks than previously.
Thanks for the heads up re that, noted.
Easier than going to the 'Compare Forecasts etc', but I access using bookmarked pages with the forecast view displayed, thus having to close the forecast view [and lose the location] to be able to see that Info icon on bottom right of screen.
Looking forward to seeing update time and 'xx hours ago' coming back to the Forecast view ;) - By clicking on the small circled i at bottom right corner of your screen in the browser version
