Yes, the new altitude slider location is NOT user friendly. It now requires two (2) mouse clicks to adjust the altitude view (one to open, then change the altitude on the slider, then another mouse click to close the selection window to go back to the main view). To have to repeat this to analyze winds, turbulence, and icing conditions over several altitudes for flight planning purposes has suddenly made this a tedious process for pilots.
Understandably, not everyone using Windy is looking at upper level conditions all the time. Maybe make this a switchable feature in the options. Or, when the "show airports" is selected, it puts the altitude slider back on the main view.
