When I open up the Windy app, and select the forecast for the "current location" that shows up in the app, Windy defaults to a forecast somewhere in an altogether different part of WA state- either near Yakima or Ellensburg locations (ie, not my location). Any ideas on how to fix this? I am using an iPhone 15, iOS 17.6.1. This happens 100% of the time when opening up the app. Thanks.



@idefix37 I don't often need to know what has happened in the past 1/6/12 hours, so it seems like a graphic that could be able to be turned off rather than mandatory for me to see on the small phone screen. I do use it occasionally so it is still of value, just not something I use often. Just my personal viewpoint. I was just wondering if it could be turned off/on.

Hi- is there a way to remove the "timeline" graphic on the bottom of the Windy app's opening screen? Or toggle it on/off?

@idefix37 Thanks for pointing this out! I read your post and older ones about this feature. However, I am (dumb) having difficulty getting the feature to work (iPhone 15 Windy app).

Following Windy's directions:
1.Open Windy to the desired location,

2.Select Reported Wind at bottom right to display all Weather Stations

3.Select the Weather Station, eg: I chose Mazama

At this point, I do not see a way to select a weather model such as MBLUE. I can select "Display As: Observation v Forecast" (bottom center), However, I am then taken to a "comparative models" graphic.

What am I doing wrong? How can I streamline this process to get straight to MBLUE's Obs ve Forecast?

Hi- why is there such a large discrepancy between Windy's stated current temp and the real temp? And, why is Windy's predictive model and many other models/apps (NOAA, WeatherBug, AccuWeather, Apple Weather) in such disagreement?

For example, Windy says it is 52deg (F) right now, but it is actually 79deg!

Also, Windy is predicting highs around 78deg for Saturday, where NOAA and other models are predicting highs in the 90s.

Hi - Using Windy to check new snowfall totals (not total snow) for the central WA USA Cascade mountains. Windy currently lists a new snow total of >27", though less than 12" of new snow has fallen in the past 7 days. Is this a bug or user error? Is this real time data? What time-frame is it accumulating data for? Thanks.
