@Suty
Greetings, I completely agree with @captainwhalley .
I have been using Windy for a quite long time and at the moment Windy is so inaccurate I am considering to cancel my subscription. I work on the ship and I have been using this app in New Zealand, Australia, South China Sea, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Japan and now in Aegean Sea, winds are never correct and I am using gusts applying +40% or 60% to be on the safe side. Today in Monemvasia, forecast on Windy 25-26 gusts later changed to 30 gusts, in reality it was 58 knots. Windfinder on the other side shows more or less correct. In two days I will be in Agios Nikolaos, Windy forecast at 07 AM is light winds up to 10 kts gusts. Windfinder shows gusts up to 23 kts. My personal gut feeling is that Windfinder will be correct. You have to wake up and do something before you send someone in trouble.

RE: GUSTS vs WIND!!!
@idefix37 thank you for your reply, I do understand that they are using different models. I am comparing all of them as well on Windy app, Windfinder obviously uses something different or Windy is not applying it correctly in the app.

RE: GUSTS vs WIND!!!
@idefix37 yes, I am using it, and so far it has been more accurate than Windy

RE: Tracking storms and typhoons
@stitch Thank you, very nice feature. Thank you for detailed explanation, I still have to explore all options.

RE: Tracking storms and typhoons
@idefix37 Thanks Idefix37, yes, I did that. But if there was option to combine both, it would be more precise.

RE: Tracking storms and typhoons
@Suty Yes, that is correct. I believe that would be a good option to see and plan my route depending on predicted path of the TS or Typhoons.

Tracking storms and typhoons
I am sailing from Perth to Benoa, Bali and tracking tropical storm Lincoln. I am using Distance and Planning to monitor weather condition and finally to decide which way to go. I have been a subscriber for a year now and I just realised that you can not use Distance and Planning with tracking storms or typhonns. I believe that we would all benefit from it, especially in tropical areas.
Please can you make this request posiible in the near future.
Thank you
