I'm from Brazil and have a subscription for this great app
I miss this functionality too, it would be very nice to show lighting in real time if possible.
Another site that shows lightning in Brazil is http://simepar.br/rindat/
Maybe Windy developers could "get" data from this source and show it on the radar maps like they do on other places…

Since Windy is always improving is there any chance that this will happen in the future?

@idefix37 thanks for the reply, but windy does not show any lightening data for my region, maybe because it gets this data from blitzortung.org that is empty too…
