RE: Second Bug Report
@Ondřej-Šutera
Why in the world would anyone want the respect of anyone who respects every opinion?
What I want is to be able to use the service I've paid for without being unnecessarily tracked by social media for their purpose of using my personal information to sell ads to criminals seeking my property and freedom.
What anyone with the most basic understanding of software design can do is replace the tracking links on their own site that are provided by social media with their own links to their same social media pages.
Remove Facebook's "f" from all your webpages and replace is with: "Windy's link to its Facebook page", or the equivalent. And then do the same with all the rest of the "free" links to "free" social media.
And finally, in parting, I'd like to give you a gift of my legal experience, in addition to the gift of my 30 years as a software designer and engineer: Check with your legal department to see if they know about the liability you open yourself to now if you do not do this, now that this correct information has been placed free in the public domain in your community. Ciao.

RE: First bug report
@Ondřej-Šutera
All of Windy's Software Engineers missed the bug. When reported at zero charge, all the moderators still missed it. When illustrated with a screenshot, all of Windy's software engineers, and all of Windy's moderators, and Windy's Community Administrator couldn't put Windy back together again -- even after being told word by word that they are crowding the user's screen with a pallet of colors for which there is no explanation: no menu entry and no key to each color. I'm glad to provide my 30 years of web design experience to Windy at no charge. And I don't expect Windy to say thanks, or fix the error, and they have not done either. I just want to satisfy my curiosity about what its up to. Done.

Is there a secret key you are not sharing for a secret reason?

@Ondřej-Šutera
It's not an opinion about Facebook. It's a fact about Windy allowing all the internet activity of all users to be tracked and sold to criminal organizations, despite being given the information.

RE: Second Bug Report
Whats the point of having a link to report bugs where moderators do not reply?
-
RE: First bug report
No, seriously, no one had the answer, and still do not. Is there a big untapped market for psychics? If I guess which each color means about "thunderbolts" do I get an invisible prize mate?

RE: First bug report
Thanks for the solution. That makes a tiny bit of romantic sense, which is lost if you don't tell the users. Wind and rain cause actual damage, as does lightning. Showing rain/flood damage and wind damage would be useful, which is data available to Windy as disaster areas. Lightning causes fires, which is data Windy does show. Combining these would be a nice advance. Past thunderbolts? Not so much, which may be why there is no key and no one on Windy knew what I was referring to.

RE: Second Bug Report
Here are some more screenshots to illustrate Windy's human trafficking bug.
First, the Windy privacy policy:
Please note that it says it is found to "be in full accordance with all applicable legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by the European Union."
Next is Google's snippet on GDPR
which anoints itself "the strongest privacy and security law in the world".
Third, a screenshot from GDPR showing that it is also a part of Fb's f link that makes it a part of human trafficking:
It is clear that GDPR is not protecting us from human traffickers that pay Facebook to show their ads to pirates that Fb's algorithm says are interested in "their exciting travel opportunities".
Please stop your involvement.
Thanks,
Kevin -
RE: Second Bug Report
Here is a screenshot to illustrate Fb tracking us to sell ads, including to organizations involved in human trafficking. Some slaves escaped and sued Fb in Texas because thye were imprisosned answering Fb ads by slavers. The Texas Supreme Court heard the request by Fb to dismiss the suit on the basis that it is exempt from liability for the content of its ads, and the Supreme Court ruled that Fb and social media (including Windy) are not exempt from liability for content involving commercial activity and denied the request (Fb stock subsequently lost most of its value).

Facebook symbol "f" on page, signifying click to go to Windy Fb page, but serves as Fb's way to track activity of everyone who visits Windy whether they click f or not: no option is given to block. Block it and please stop using Facebook -- it fights for its right to sell ads to human trafficking networks that use that info to target victims.
Hi moderators.
No reply to this.
I don't use Fb at all because of its criminal activity. Please do not allow it to track your subscribers. It has an especial interest in persons interested in travel, and I'm sure if your son or daughter were imprisoned, tortured, raped or killed by its network you would stop allowing the tracking. Please don't throw us to the wolves.

RE: First bug report
Thanks idefix37. I'm using a notebook and there is a second range of colors with no key, in addition to the key you mention that is also available in the free version. Here is a screenshot showing both color ranges, with the second one varying from yellow to brown, and from brown to grey-ash

First bug report
First bug report. Just bought premium, opened radar and saw use of colors on map that have no key visible.

Design for three four dimensions
4D problem. Please consider exploring use of color and transparency to create 4D satellite animations, so the disorganized appearance of developing clouds is replaced with the natural organization. Tweaking the colors can help with that. Almost all groups of clouds rotate vertically, beginning with many small vortexes that tend to develop more organized wheels and spheres, unless and until they develop a rotating vertical pillar as they become cyclones. These vertical circles evolving into horizontal circles around pillars can be illustrated by using color and opacity to have higher clouds/moisture block views of lower clouds. Rising air can grow more opaque, sinking air more transparent. The satellites give you what they give you, but one simple tweak would be to move from white to light blue to darker blue to violet to red, with greater altitude (cooling), such that cooling cloud tops become darker. Currently you have white to dark blue to light blue to green etc. Viewers can learn to see what you have in 4D, but it's unnatural and maybe Windy can help with a color and transparency tweak. The 4D sky is a beautiful thing to see on our screens. Cheers.

Suggestion: Show population density
Show human population density to add meaning. Changes in density and desertification over generations. Cheers!
