What I meant is clearly shown on screenshot below; in this case study, pressure and satellite images are not contemporary (12 h of difference!) and should not be displayed together:
satellite layer: real time observation, validity = (NOW-12h)
pressure data layer: forecast model, validity= NOW (rounded to hours I guess)
