The new interface is terrible. It makes everything less usable. It may look nice to the eye of a graphical engineer. But from a user perspective it makes everything more confusing and more difficult to use. Please bring back the old version with a more text oriented interface, which not only offers a better readability, but also usability.

RE: New Position of Altitude Slider very bad
@Jay-Withaflame said in New Position of Altitude Slider very bad:
The new position of the Altitude slider is horrible. Before the change you were able to access the slider directly from the map, now you first have to open the menu and half of the screen you wanted to see slides out of sight. Very bad. :-(
Especially for pilots to have directly access to the altitude slider is essential to see the different wind condition.
Please change it to the way it was before or relocate the altitude slider directly to the map! ThanksI can only emphasize Jay's post.
The new Altitude slider position is absolutely user unfriendly. As is the whole new GUI of the windy web version.
The graphical icons for all the variables look nice. But in the former, text oriented menue it was much much better to find everything. Please go back to how it was before!

RE: Windy.com introduces soaring forecast
@tz What about maximum climb displayed as a line in the cloud box in an Airgram (similar to how you show the "pressure" line in a Meteogram).
And I would love to see thermals AGL. This would be a better indicator for the expectable strength. Additionally, it would be easier to see, where the liftier airmasses are located.

RE: The New Interface has Made Distance & Planning Unreliable
Yes, this new GUI in the web version of Windy is a huge step in the wrong direction. It is much worse to use. I don't need round Mickey Mouse icons. I just want a clickable list of variables, and an altitude slider that's not hidden in a submenu. Please go back to the former version!

RE: Clouds in Airgram
@Ondřej-Šutera Thanks a lot for going back to Airgrams WITH clouds. This is really helpful.

RE: Which model should Windy implement next? Please vote.
Vote 2, Arome. Very good wind model.

RE: Clouds in Airgram
@Ondřej-Šutera But you didn't move them!
Clouds were already present in the Meteograms. But now the clouds are missing in the Airgrams. Why?
You really deteriorated this service. Now I am forced to switch between Airgrams and Meteograms. In the former versions of the Airgrams I could get all the information I needed in one go.
Please bring back the Airgrams with clouds!

Soundings, missing data
HI there,
I like the soundings in Windy (aka Aerology). But I see that you use only a reduced dataset to draw the soundings. The temperature curve is always straight lines between data points from "standard" pressure levels like 950, 925, 900. 850, 800, 700, 600 hpa... So this can be rather inaccurate, especially in times and locations where you get some low level inversions.
Isn't it possible to get a more high-res version of the soundings?
By the way: Looking at the soundings from ICON-D2, the data points seem to be thinned out even more, just showing 1000, 950, 850 hpa levels in the lower part. Why? In this form the ICON D2 sounding is useless, because you will miss most of the low inversions that will form at this time of the year (autumn).

Map in Windy
I have seen that you recently replaced the Opentopomap overlay in Windy (web version) with satellite images. Why?
Opentopomaps are much more helpfull! Please bring them back.

Clouds in Airgram
The airgrams in Windy did always include a display of the cloud layers like in the meteograms. But actually I just get to see airgrams without the cloud-part (at least on the desktop version, the Windy app Adroid is still showing the airgrams with clouds).
Is this a bug, or did you change the appearance of the airgrams. If so, this would be a massive deterioration of this service. Why?
