@marcorotta: Same for me. The process 'windywidget' keeps Android from going to deep sleep nearly all the time.

RE: Updating widget notification remains all the time
@Ondřej-Šutera: Sorry for the delay. Well - in the meantime I made a factory reset (twice). Last time the first thing after the reset (even before changing any settings) was installing windy, granting permissions
- background location: always
- battery usage: unrestricted
- don't remove permissions for unused app
and then creating widgets.
For now widgets seem to work. But: they update only once per hour. Is this the intended behaviour? That would make the rain radar widget close to useless.
I now will set my settings and install my apps. I will come back, if the widgets refuse to do their work again. Cross your fingers ... :) -
RE: Updating widget notification remains all the time
@Ondřej-Šutera: Well, I did what you suggested, deleted cache, deinstalled the app (I also restarted the phone after deinstalling) and installed Windy again. I granted all the permissions, the app and the widgets asked for. - Result: "Updating widgets" and the widgets remain black. Their three dot menu doesn't open, they directly start Windy app instead. Widgets respond to moving , enlarging, deleting etc.

RE: Updating widget notification remains all the time
@Ondřej-Šutera: version 39.3.2, built 2023-08-29, 12:30 - "updating widget" still permanent, widget empty or never updated, loading circle spinning and spinning and spinning, high battery consumption :-/
