I just updated the most recent version (40.0.6) and Android home screen widgets don't seem able to update.

I've granted all requested permissions, and tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling, but no luck. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

I was having issues with my widgets not updating (Android Pixel phone). I followed all the instructions I could find here, deleting data, uninstalling, and setting all the permisisons. Now, even without any widgets on my home screen, when I restart my phone, I see the "updating widget" notification, and it hangs around forever. If I do add a widget, it just stays black.

This is a bummer because I pay for Premium, and now the app is not useful to me, and annoying with the permanent notification.

Do you had any advice to fix this? Or is it possible to install the old version of Windy which didn't have problems?

@Ondřej-Šutera Its a pixel 6a phone. I've found a workaround -- if I set the widget to use a "favorite" location, rather than my current location, it doesn't seem to get stuck. So I suspect there was some issue with getting my location. Which is surprising, because I had given it full access to location data, even in the background.

@Ondřej-Šutera I've done that, and it works for a while, but then it gets stuck again in about an hour.
