    • Weather picker.

      Hi there just wondering about the weather picker for the app on android.

      I have seen that this has been a discussion a few times before about the fact that you can no longer pick your location on the map and then explore the map with your location selected.

      I live in Cornwall UK. It's a very hilly location and there a lot of local effects on weather. The old weather picker made predicting changes in weather for a location easier, as you could explore the map whilst your location was selected. I'm wondering why this has changed?

      Also since the weather picker moves as you drag the map it slows the app down by a significant amount as the app is trying to load a new forecast every single time you drag the screen.

      Is there any purpose to having the weather picker always move? I have seen responses in the past talking about making the app simpler and I agree simpler is better in most cases. Although the general consensus was that this particular feature has not simplified the app more complicated it.

      Are there any plans to make make exploration of the map simpler with the weather picker staying still on the location selected, so people can monitor changes in pressure, temperature, use the radar without the distraction and lag the weather picker is currently giving whilst it is trying update it's current location?

      Also I am wondering if the community still thinks this is an issue? I love the app it's one of the best out there and will continue to use. Just curious.

      Thank you.

      @Wheats
      Thank you for this!
      This setting seems a little hidden.
      I do agree though it would be nice if the weather picker could stay in position even if we dropped the forecast menu down to see the full screen.
      But I'm happy to have found this button. I would still like to be able to personally tap the screen to change the location like we used to be able to but I can't complain since this is here, although still not quite the same as it used to be.

      It would be nice if you could change the layers without having to re-select your location like you said. It seems a shame to have to click extra buttons to get the information you want for no real reason.

      Thank you for the help. I have been scratching my head for a while on this one.
